Looks like we'll have plenty to follow this weekend as ISU sends the bulk of the roster off to UWW Junior Nationals and U23 Nationals.

I'm excited to see how we stack up at the moment, especially the young guys.

The article doesn't mention it, but Cyclone commit Conner Knopick is also registered to compete. He's going for both Freestyle (57kgs) and Greco (55kgs), cause he's a beast. So don't miss him tossing dudes around on Friday before the freestyle starts on Saturday.

I don't know anything but I watched it happen. I was hoping someone would post something after it happened. I just hope he can have a healthy college season. He looked in shape and was aggressive right up until he hurt his knee in that match.

Ditto on the Gomez question. I'm hoping his knee isn't serious and they're just playing it safe with his recovery.

I was hoping to see Carr in action as well. With the number of college standouts registered, I'm a bit surprised he's not going this weekend. Maybe he's slightly banged up and playing it safe too?

Illinois kid wrestling unattached. That's about all I got.

Knopick wins 13-6.

Other than one bad exchange in the 1st, Knopick looked good.
Aggressive and trying to score points right up to the end.

Teched Sam Smith (WI kid) in 46 seconds or something like that in the Semis.

He'll get Billy Sullivan (from Vegas) in the finals. Sullivan looks pretty good. Junior Fargo Greco champ. Junior Pan Am Greco bronze.

Excited to see how Knopick comes out on that one!
