The closest K-State got to this list was me posting it. The closest ISU got was posting it on this site. My guess, we'll both be at the bottom of the coaches' ranking published Thursday.

The Big 12 Preseason Poll will be announced tomorrow.

Preseason Player of the Year: Jared Butler, Baylor, G, 6-3, 195, Jr., Reserve, La.

Preseason Freshman of the Year: Cade Cunningham, Oklahoma State, G, 6-8, 200, Fr., Arlington, Texas

Preseason All-Big 12 Team

Oscar Tshiebwe, West Virginia, F, 6-9, 260, So., Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo/Kennedy Catholic (Pa.)
* Denotes unanimous selection.
A tie resulted in an extra position on the team.

Honorable Mention (listed alphabetically by school):
MaCio Teague (Baylor), Mark Vital (Baylor), Greg Brown III (Texas), Courtney Ramey (Texas), Jericho Sims (Texas), Kyler Edwards (Texas Tech), Mac McClung (Texas Tech), Derek Culver (West Virginia)

I can see them not giving us much respect. That is reasonable.

But none... not even for Bolton or Solomon...?

The former was really good in the B12 last year, and the latter finished strong.

I think we're going to surprise a lot of people in just how much better we are from last year. Unfortunately that might still mean we're 6th or 7th in the conference which some may not deem good enough.

Big 12 overall rankings on Bart Torvik last year...

#1 Kansas
#2 Baylor
#16 WV
#22 Texas Tech
#37 Oklahoma
#53 OSU
#68 Texas
#87 Iowa State
#90 Kansas State

Projected for next season...

#1 Texas
#2 WV
#5 Baylor
#10 Texas Tech
#11 Kansas
#36 Kansas State
#38 Oklahoma
#49 Oklahoma State
#82 TCU
#92 Iowa State

Holy ******* balls the conference is likely going to be tough this year.

1-2? 3/5? 4/10? 5/11?

You have to be a Top 25 team to AT LEAST think about breaking into the top half.

A LOT can and will change.

A LOT can and will change.

This is true. But the conference is utterly stacked.

I think the peak of the peak for the Big 12 was 2017...

Kansas with Mason, Jackson, and Graham
Baylor with Motley, Lecomte, Acuil, and Freeman
Iowa State with Morris, Mitrou-Long, Burton, and Thomas
West Virginia with Carter, Ahmad, Adrian, and Phillip
Oklahoma State with Evans, Carroll, and Forte
Kansas State with Iwundu, Stokes, Brown, D.J. Johnson, and Wade

Good as that was, this year might be better (somehow).

that’s going to be a gauntlet. First thought for me is Texas won’t end up at #1 regardless. They almost always underperform for the talent they have. I also didn’t expect BU and WVU to be that high

I wouldn’t have them on this list.

I'm fine with putting Cade on 1st team and I guess ok with McDonald's All-American Greg Brown as HM.

Courtney Ramey for sure doesn't belong on HM. That's a weird one. I would of had Brady Manek, Rasir, and Terrence Shannon before him just off the top of my head.
