......the AD at 'bammer also was positive today.

N Dakota, S Dakota and Montana have the highest per-capita infection rates in the country. If you can't social distance in those god forsaken places, be forewarned.

The next wave will be the worst.

I was in northernish WI last weekend and bars and restaurants in towns of 500 people were full.

With exception to maybe work spaces that have mainly been adjusted for safety measures, social distancing is still easy in these places.

People just don't do it.

Yea, I am very impressed with the ISU fanbase which seems to take the precautions seriously. It was hot Saturday, but most everyone masked up and socially distanced.

Then I drive home to KC through Missouri, stop at a gas station to hit the WC, and literally no one in the store is wearing a mask.smh

It's not even the mask wearing. It's just people still just finding places to hang out in that are crowded.

Every week it seems there's a report about a family gathering being a spreading event. Then it happens again, and again.

My small town in NC Iowa is full of Iowa State fans and no one here wears masks in gas stations.

What should people do and for how long?

Limit interactions? Is it hard for people to not go to bars? Or if they do, can they accept their own responsibility and not seek out treatment, since they volunteered to get it?

If they feel sick, don't go around people? If they've tested positive, don't go around others? Are these too high of expectations?

No idea for how long. Seems about anywhere that's tried to get past it has had to go right back to basics.

I was born at Mary Greeley in 1957 when my father was a senior in veterinary medicine.

In the mid 60"s I was helping him in vaccinating for two viral infections in swine production.

The 80's gave us pseudo rabies in swine.

Does anybody remember parvovirus in canines? In June I was in a discussion with a denier.

"Kids don't get it Covid." Hmmm,....the virus looks at your drivers license and decides if you are an acceptable recipient? Then I mentioned parvovirus and how veterinary medicine emphasized "social distancing" of your family pet until a vaccine was developed.

"I remember, parvovirus killed my dog." He ran two diametrically opposite thoughts through his brain about 2 minutes apart.

Welcome to,......the abyss.

I was just at the quick trip across from Firestone tonight grabbing a drink and myself and my friend are the only ones wearing a mask. I didn't get shamed but it's obvious people are over it.

You weren't in Hayward were you? Pretty sure the people there can't even spell social distancing.

How would you enforce “limited interactions “?

I stopped in the new Kum and Go south of Ames on my way to the game Saturday. I was the only customer in there wearing a mask.

I don't understand what's the deal with gas stations and not wearing a mask. It was the same way in the new story city kwik star last weekend.

That horse galloped out of the barn.

Yep, People are done with it. I was in Omaha over the weekend and it seems they are more into the mask thing but not so much staying apart from each other. I wear a mask if a store requires it. Otherwise I live a normal life.
