OU -7 @ ISU - Clone strengths line-up well with OU weaknesses
TCU -12 @ Texas - the year of the Horn?
BU -3 @ WVU - Bears looked solid v. Ku but who doesn't?
oSu -21 @ Ku - no social distance problem in the stands
TxT +3 @ K-State - if EMAW has an OU hangover they'll get hammered

Should be 4 really good games, I like K State, Pokes, "Neers, Sooners and my upset is TCU. Honestly, I think every game but the KU/OSU game could be a toss up. I've got a weekend clear of plans, looking forward to Saturday. There are some good SEC matchups as well.

I'd take Texas +12 all day long.

But I'll go with

ISU +7
TCU +12
WVU +3
OSU
Tech +3

Are we talking spreads or straight up?

I’ll take....

ISU +7
TCU +12
WVU +3... I think this one is close, WVU wins at home.
OSU -21
KSU -3.... but this spread stinks of Vegas knowing something.

I agree with all except I think KU will cover the 21. I'm big on its never as good or bad as you think. I think so far OSU is being over-valued, and I don't think KU will be as bad as they are being made to seem right now, although I still expect them to finish last.

I think ISU will either win, or loose by 10-14, TCU will keep it within a few scores, WVU wins at home, and KSU beats Tech pretty easy.

Love to be wrong but straight up I'd take:
OU - in the best game of the weekend
Texas - a lot closer than everyone thought
Baylor - another squeaker
OSU - Kansas safeties covered with Chubba cleat marks
KSU - comfortable - but what happened to Snyder defense?

OSU defense has impressed me, not sure how KU will score.

I think it’ll be something like 34-13 real close to the spread.

I'm not sure what you mean but this K-State defense when well is going to be good. They shut OU down after halftime adjustments were made and that was with freshmen reserves at corner.
For your sake I hope you are right. You can't count on winning the turnover battle 4-0 and blocking a punt. When you win the turnover battle that lopsided and still give up 35 it seems right to question the soundness of a defense. Especially after that Arkansas State game - 35 again.

I know, I know, players are out. Questions will rightly continue to come until a Snyder-like defense emerges.

K-State fans love Klieman's aggressive defense as they grew weary of Snyder's bend-don't-break, play-off-receivers approach. That became a bone of contention down here.

So, I don't know what you relish about Snyder's approach other than the results.

During Snyder1.0, his defenses were nasty and aggressive. I'll give you that. But his second term, he played "soft" as he adjusted to spread offenses. And that didn't sit well with fans.

Good grief. I pick KSU to win comfortably and all you can do is get hung up on a comment. So I don't think that everything is rosy with a team that is giving up 35 points a game. ISU is giving up 32.5 a game - 10.5 a game of that on special teams (kick and punt return TDs) and offense (pick 6 -- or technically fumble return TD) -- not defense, and I think there are problems with the ISU defense as well.

You are insufferable.

His excuse all year is going to be missing players due to COVID.

Something that essentially every team is having to deal with game in and game out.

Other than our game, I think the TCU-Texas game is fascinating. Now that Duggan has had a half to acclimate, I think he will be trouble for the longhorns. Enough to win...doubt it, but cover...yes.

That was an excuse for Game 1 even though it was proven to be false. Then in week 2, when they do have issues, they beat a Top 10 team on the road.

ATS:
ISU - I think this starts off slow and turns into a shoot-out
TCU - Duggan and their defense help to keep this close
WVU - I feel like they won this one outright
KU - I think KU puts enough garbage pts on the board to get within 21
KSU - they do enough to win, but I don't think it'll be a comfortable win until the clock hits zeroes.

Straight up:
ISU - looking for Kolar to have a big day
TX - although an upset wouldn't surprise me if TX gets undisciplined and commits penalties
WVU - cuz I hate Baylor
OSU - I think they run all day on KU, but let them score useless points at the end to make it look better than it actually was
KSU - this has let-down written all over it, but I think they do enough to survive

Oddly enough this is the most relaxed I've been during game week for OU in as long as I can recall. I am not naive enough to expect a win, but I would be really disappointed at this point if they came in and just knocked our teeth in. I'm talking 45-3 type of blowout here.

What?

Klieman said the Wildcats took the field against Arkansas State without 35-40 players last week. And around 12 of the active players that entered the game had been out for two weeks before getting the all-clear to return to practice about three days before the game.Sep 18, 2020 KC Star

Why did you make the comment (bait) if you didn't want feedback? Just to show your expertise on K-State football?
I made the comment because I am seriously surprised at how far the WC defense has fallen. You used to be able to count on their defense to keep most opponents 10 points under their average give or take. It wasn't bait, because contrary to your prevailing thought, it's not all about you.
