Max Duggan cleared to play Saturday

Meh, until Patterson confirms Duggan as the starter, or we see him on the field this Saturday, I think this is just gamesmanship. Can't see anyone recovering from major heart surgery THAT fast.

Since 2000, after losing the first game of the year, ISU averages 4.3 wins for the season. That's a winning percentage of 36.1%.

That's 3.6 wins in 2020. 3-7 or 4-6 incoming.

She just rolled snakeyes! Time to shove all your chips in, it can't happen twice in a row!

Yes, math and historical trends are pathetic.

So is the gamblers' fallacy.

I don't give two $hits about "historical trends" I'm only concerned with what CMC has accomplished and proven while he's been at Iowa State. GTFOH with that garbage.

That's where I'm at too. I will be shocked if he plays.

Matt Campbell averages 5.5 wins after losing the first game at ISU

Congrats, it’s still a mediocre team.

Max Duggan was healthy last, year, played a pretty good game against ISU (17/25, 219 yards, 2 TDs/0 INTs), and lost 49-24. I'm not worried with him playing, because if our offense does what it should be capable of doing, it can outlast Duggan.

1. Road game
2. Team that was projected pre season as a likely W
3. Line currently in our favor
4. Duggan as future quarterback (will play as seasoned veteran)
5. Duggan is from Iowa

Oh man.

Pretty impressive since that first year is really dragging the average down.

Duggan got off to a slow start but played really well in the 2nd half against ISU. Made it interesting in the 4th, but TCU's defense couldn't stop ISUs offense.

Ya our defense isn't the issue.

Even on offense if Brock completes some of those routine passes on 3rd and manageable we aren't even having this conversation. There where multiple times in the first half where we were on schedule and just absolutely blew it on third and manageable. Clean up the special teams and get our key pieces back from injury and I honestly think we will be in really good shape. Brock clearly missed having his safety valve out there.

I saw an unenthusiastic offensive performance, and wasn't even because of crappy oline play.

Next Home game we only have to fudge up the piped in sound to say 75db. That should do it! Haha.

On a related note, did we even have pumped in game noise on game 1?
