Chill phone carrier

Farmer, for what it is worth, my wife and I have traveled the country from end to end. We have US Cellular and have never had a problem.
Do you use data when outside of Iowa? That is what caused me to switch away from US Cellular. I was in major cities outside of Iowa and was getting only 3G data. It was infuriating.

I thought they now have roaming on T-Mobile LTE and vice versa

I was off lakeshore drive in Chicago and my US Cellular company phone wouldn’t even load my GPS. My wife’s Verizon phone worked fine. I left that job, went Verizon and haven’t looked back.

That's news to me. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Sprint since they merged with T-Mobile?

Yep, Chicago was one of the cities I had issues with US Cellular. They are a regional carrier (Iowa is their hotbed) but charge national prices.

We also switched to Verizon (sort of). We have Total Wireless which is a MVNO that uses Verizon towers and we have been nothing but pleased. Verizon national coverage for fraction of what we were paying when with US Cellular. However just this week they announced Verizon is buying Total Wireless' parent company TracPhone. I'm hoping this means the services will be even better. Verizon said they plan to bring 5G so hopefully they won't raise the price too much.

Pretty sure, I used to have T-Mobile and there were certain parts of Washington and Oregon that had U.S. Cellular and I roamed on it natively.

This is all pretty recent though, within last couple of years.

It looks like US Cellular roams natively on T-Mobile as well.

Us Cellular... by far the better service/signal in Iowa and nationwide in my experience...

USC best nationwide coverage? I've traveled all over the midwest and south, and dumped USC because it had way more problem areas. Verizon worked better for me. Go to show everyone's experiences are different and are highly dependent on which towers are nearest your area.
