Nebraska vs The Big Ten

The human thumb took the vote for weed and gambling off the voting ballot today too, so no relief in sight. Going to be a long winter for Huskers.

Still not as embarrassing as when a former Nebr AG argued in court that allowing gay marriage would lead to people marrying things like a chair.

What Nebraska fan has to look forward to this fall...
- No Nebraska football
- No weed
- No gambling
- Wearing a mask (okay, that's a good thing)
- Watching old rivals in the Big 12 play football

What are the rules for masks in Nebby?

It would be funny if the B1G got pissed and gave them the boot, let them be independent like BYU and ND. I would LOL at that.

They've been saying on local radio that medical marijuana is off the ballot because it included too many issues for one ballot measure. But casino gambling allowed at the horsetracks is still on the ballot, heard it this morning.

So...what is their endgame here? By the time any lawsuit goes anywhere the seasons will be over. If they show the bylaws were not followed, what are they going to do? If they sue, they're essentially suing themselves because the money the conference has is the money they distribute to the schools. The only ones that benefit here are the lawyers.

And us, we all win in this!

Politicians trying to gain some good will. There’s no way this goes anywhere.

Although the lawsuit is categorically dumb, I bet the B1G does not mind it all all. There seems to be some real momentum to the rumors that the B1G will reconsider and try to get a season in this fall.

Of course, they will claim testing processes have improved to give themselves cover, but I think they like it when OSU's Day and Nebby keep the pressure on and keep the issue in the news.

Its called grandstanding and the NE population will eat it up. Politics is built on meaningless gestures and hollow promises.
