IDK, I want to believe but we've been kicked in the junk so many times its hard to be confident that ISU wins with a blowout. I think it will go down to wire. I am expecting a ISU win, but by a slim margin of 3-10 pts.

OK, Don't get over confident but don't be overly pessimistic either. Their best win was against the #82 team.
Plus if the field is a little sloppy that probably is advantage to ISU (slows down their offense and our better defense contains them more). ISU covers 35-17

They’re a run first team. And thin at WR.
Squashing their run game seems like a good start to me. To be honest, I think this defense can handle both run and pass without overbalancing itself.
Nearly every time we've lost to a mid major or fcs program, they have been able to run on us. If you have teams of that level having success in the running game, you're in trouble.
game will likely be determined by who can control the ball on offense. generally helps when you can run the ball effectively. Our OL is suspect which doesn't give me a ton of confidence. I'm hoping we have gotten to a point as a program where we can come out with a hard hat mentally and grind out a comfortable week 1 win.

I don't even think it will require laying an egg for it to be close in the fourth. The only way we win comfortably is if we play very well.

The adults have learned that discretion is the better part of valor, to make noise, and, even when they bite, tend to withhold injecting much (or any) venom -- any large animal would kill them before it would take effect anyways, so they try to save it for when hunting something more appropriately-sized to be a prey item.
Baby rattlesnakes are like puppies. Easy to startle (and therefore eager to strike) and ready to give you all the death.
That is why the idiom exists... the babies look less threatening, but they are actually much more dangerous. Louisiana might be a G5 team, but they will probably be tougher than many of our B12 foes.
My understanding is yes, baby rattlesnakes are more dangerous. This is due to their inexperience and tend to be overly aggressive, using a good offense as defense. They also don't know how to control their venom output like an adult, so you get a full dose every time when an adult can use just enough to be effective. Baby rattlesnakes are basically trained by Cobra Kai: strike first, strike hard, no mercy.
Coastal Carolina should have plenty of confidence this week vs "Big 12" and I've never seen them play before.
I feel better about this one that most years, so they will probably lay and egg.
They're probably a small but completely fanatic fanbase. Casual fan is going to be LSU or Saints in that area.
