Pollard press conference today

hmm... 8.8 million residents, 193,000 official cases. Even if the number of cases is undercounted by 80% due to asymptomatics, that is still only 11% of the population. did your numbers just come from your gut?
Yes, which is probably more accurate than "offical cases". Actually, I estimate the number of actual cases based on an IFR of 0.5%. So, New Jersey has had 1,807 deaths/mill (from worldometers) which works out to about 1,807/0.005 = 361,400 cases/million = 36%. No, I don't know the IFR for sure, but the best estimates I've heard are between 0.3% and 0.7%. 0.7% gets them to 25.8% infected.

Iowa is probably around 7% using the same method (5% low end, 11% high end.

Always surprised when he doesn't post the same on his own website. Don't get it.

Huh.

Yeah I remember you criticizing all the states/ countries you’re holding up as paragons of virtue now back when their numbers were the worst. Lol.

This is wildly dishonest. Feel bad for the twisted reality you must have created to protect your feelings. We failed, let's start doing better. Wishing and hoping won't do ****.

Links?

Links to all my posts? Ah no, you're imagining things to fit the fragile construct you've sheltered yourself in.

Several large population developed countries I work with on a daily basis have absolutely smoked us at pretty much every stage. Sorry that bothers you. It should bother us all to want to do better.

A large part of my business depends on people being in the world's largest theme parks and in movie theaters.

Those places are open in a normal way in some other countries that genuinely controlled the outbreak compared to us. They aren't open in a widespread normal way here in the USA. Ignore the potential health risks for a moment, I highly question that the way we are going about things even makes sense from a purely money driven perspective. Every week I see our sales totals, other countries range from 20-70% of normal sales. US sales are below 5% of normal.

The usual suspects will again mark this reality I see every day as funny/dumb/fake news, but it's hard data I can't ignore. The #1 hotspot state in the country having a football game with 25,000 fans doesn't seem to show learning from our mistakes. New Jersey just opened indoor dining because their #s are among the best in the country right now, they didn't do that because they had the worst numbers.

Because they already killed everyone just like New York and have achieved a measure of heard immunity. Look at Sweden, the country CNN won't talk about any more.

When you hold up China as an example as to how to handle a pandemic, nobody is going to take you seriously. I’m sorry.

Are you always this myopic and pessimistic?

Its not pessimism when we've had enough time to see the cause and effect results of our actions. If anything it is you that is myopic here, and have been displaying that since march, while you all were hurling insults at those of us who correctly predicted what would happen this summer if we did what we did.

When you see that you can't even begin to guess if it's a moron who thinks that works, or a moron who thinks a normal effective mask is going to suffocate her.
Or like the masked moron at Hy Vee mean mugging me because I am not wearing a mask.......only then to pull their "surgical" mask down to sneeze.

That actually happened to you? Out of curiosity is there a polite way to ask someone to put their mask on? I mean we all should wear them at grocery stores but it's not hard to ask politely.

I will say having kids presents a challenge. It all seems incredibly simple without kids (mask and distancing) but when I watched my nephew for a few weeks I'd catch him slipping on distancing/mask where people at the grocery store gave him evil laser beam eyes.
