The point is they opened indoor dining because of good sustained improved numbers, they didn't say "things are getting worse right now, close to our worst situation, so we'll open indoor dining".

They had cases there, enough that it would have ripped through the island if they acted like we did. They knew what to do. They had been through it.
You know the little point at your forehead thermometers? Every restaurant and store had those going there in February and March. These things work if everyone passionately digs in on it.
This very statement proves that you don't.
Avoiding large events that are high risk for spread is how we make more normal activities safer for everyone. people that choose to engage in higher risk events hold the rest of society hostage by increasing the level of community spread, making otherwise low risk events more dangerous afterward.
Why, exactly, are you so against masks?
I can understand differing view points on if fans should be allowed. I'm not sure why you are such a **** about it.
But I think there are a few things that are non-deniable. The Iowa numbers are not great right now. And wearing masks properly is helpful.
If all you look at is positive case counts, then you have no idea what's going on.
Cases lead deaths and hospitalizations.
Remember back in late May and early June when national cases doubled and half of this board was super happy because death count was down?
Are hospitalizations and deaths even at the low mark for Iowa you're claiming? I haven't seen that.
Where did I say I am against them? I responded to someone saying they took their mask off to read a sign. Was there anyone around him? I just really enjoy the mask shamers to point out someone "doing it wrong."
