Fans on the 12th or not ?

I hope JP has a similar plan whether we have fans in the stands or not. JTS is an eye sore when it's not filled with 60,000 people. I can't believe we haven't replaced the main bleachers in the middle sections at some point in the last 30+ years.
I agree, but just about every stadium that is mostly bleachers looks fairly similar to JTS. Stadiums with actual seats often have a more finished look even when empty. So the SEZ seats look quite different from the JTS bleachers.

I want to go, but if they jack me in the corner on the top row, I may have to reconsider. I would like to know where I will be first.

To be honest they are not bad seats. We like the upper corners. Partly we don't want to pay more for the actual tickets, but we chose to sit there. Donation wise we could sit 50 yard line upper deck.

Some of my fondest moments in Jack Trice have been up high in the upper deck. Granted it was in the student section, but still. I was up there in 2018 for the WVU and can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had.

It's not that I dislike the corners, but if I'm paying (I don't donate a lot) for improved seats, I would at least expect to get the reduced price if I'm placed in those seats. I've been all over the stadium through the years and there are not a lot of bad seats. One problem I have is my wife refuses to sit in the upper deck so I would have that issue if they placed us there.

I would rather they use our limited resources for things that really need to be replaced rather than for something that is still solidly functional. How often is there much coverage of the stadium when it is empty in any normal year?

You're right, I just wanted to complain about the appearance of JTS. The mismatching of the seats and retro colored bleachers have been a pet peeve of mine for a couple years. Throw in the interstate sign video board, and JTS leaves a lot to be desired from an aesthetic standpoint. Looks a hell of a lot better when it's full fortunately.

For sure. I'm ok with the SEZ looking different because those seats are supposed to be premium. It would be cool if we could get the cardinal bleachers from the corners applied to the rest of the stadium.

And then there's this:

Covermaster Seat Fillers allow for an effective adjustment from full crowds of fans to limited groups or sports behind closed doors. Maximize revenue from these empty seats with advertising, create the appearance of fans in the stands, or a combination of both, to minimize losses and create a more authentic TV experience for spectators who cannot be at the game because of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic

Baylor was way ahead of their time.

We like them too. We balk at the donation since we have been helping pay for multiple students for nine years. Plus less entitled people yelling derogatory comments about players and coaches. Only downside is you wind up with Hawk fans at the CyHawk and UNI games.

My parents who normally go have donated for paved parking availability.
