I guess I don't see the point of including teams who "will not" play.
A lot old media still lives in Big ten country, they peddle to them, can't kill their goose.
I read an article yesterday that explained the reason. They essentially said the first week they were going to show what the AP would've been had the B1G and Pac-12 stayed on.. Then they will adjust accordingly. Basically wanting to give those players who have to sit out this year something nice to feel about for the next 12 months.
Whats the point of including teams that aren’t playing? After the preseason poll, there shouldn’t be any 0-0 teams in there.
The AP came out a few days ago and said they wanted to include the other teams in order to give them a little pride due to their seasons being cancelled. After the first week, it'll be adjusted accordingly.
Meh. I don't care. I think they're just trying to give some credit for one week to the teams that put all that time in and now don't get to play this fall, and could possibly not play at all this year.
How many weeks does Ohio State stay in the top 4? I'll bet they stay up there for at least 2-3 weeks.
I believe it will be changed after everyone has played their first game of the fall.
9 of those teams aren't even playing yet ranked. So much for preseason rankings. The irony is deep but for once valid.
Brett McMurphy has always liked the Clones I think. Taking out the teams that aren’t playing (as of now) this puts Iowa State ranked 10th and also 2nd in the Big12 so that’s pretty cool.
He likes clicks and engagement. ISU fans are great for that.
