The article says the Big 12's tier 3 rights and the ACC's network figures are not included in these totals. So I take it ACC is in fourth place ahead of the Pac 12.

I just wonder if the Big 12 could poach Arizona and Arizona State? Pac 12 is a mess right now. Pac 12 network tv ratings suck and produces very low revenue. The league has missed the college football playoffs 3 years in a row now. The fan support has dwindled in football attendance at all their schools. Time to expand the Big 12.

I do not understand the obsession some have with expanding the Big 12, and probably never will.

I would like to blow up all conference affiliation. Move to geographical alignment. The road games would be awesome, home games full . Regional rivalry would be restored or intensified.

And TV money most likely down for the pool we would be in.

Didn’t you hear? We’re psychologically disadvantaged. Thanks, Boren.

That said, if it makes the conference stronger, expansion is a no-brainer.

Yes, for fans most of the expansion need/want is psychological. If the Arizona schools joined the B12, then administrators and fans could say: See this league is so strong they joined us, so stick-it Aggie, Misery, and Corn. There would be some 'feel good' in that happening.

Would the product improve - no. Well, maybe MBB but certainly nothing in those football programs that brings charm to the B12. It might open recruiting in the west as both take athletes out of California. And it would improve the TV offering. They're certainly a better fit than WVU.

Personally, I'd vote "yeh."
