Get your stimulus check payment

That is the thing, honestly, what good is this? $1200 is not going to get you 20 days through this. Needs to be $2k/mo to even start to help.

It won't solve everyone's problems but It'll help a lot of people. Plus it is designed as a stimulus. If you lose your job or have other more pressing financial issues there are other programs to help.

My status finally updated with a deposit date. April 30th.

What single person can't go 20 days on $1200 bucks. They are doing something wrong... even living in LA or something that should last some time. $1200 here would buy about 2 months rent. Probably a full months living expenses.

Where I live rent averages over $1200 and lowest I've seen for one bedroom is around $720 but that's usually the one room in the upstairs of someone's house type of thing, and even the average in smaller outlying towns is around $1000.

Average rent in LA is over $2000 and national average is over $1200.

Des Moines is like $900.

Yeah the reality is 1200 is radically different in different parts of the country.

I do live in LA and I can tell you that a single person cannot get by on 1200 for a month no matter how big of ****hole their apartment is.

Obviously there are other parts of the country where 3900 for a family of five is a financial windfall, especially if they have kept their jobs.
