I'm not upset with you. Just pointing out to anyone with brain cells that you're making things up.
They can't show donors fake accounting documents. That's the very definition of cooking the books.
Just another reason the claims are non-sensical.
And I will stick with multiple sources, up to and including the word of literally everyone involved.

Also, how many donors actually know what they are looking at? If I asked all the donors what are the differences between the various classifications of net assets, I would bet 75% have no idea the differences. And for a not-for-profit/club the net assets classifications can give you a pretty good snap shot of the long term health.
Curt is right here...though I'd say 75% is likely too low. I know CPAs who can't read them. The financial status of anything to most people is "how much cash is sitting in the bank account?" In reality your position can be great without a lot of cash and can be very poor even with a lot of cash.

Been on several boards of non profits and worked for one large one. Outside of a handful of us (500+ employees), nobody had a clue how to read even the most basic financial statements. The boards I was on, people were clueless about all of it. One guy ran a couple car dealerships and didn’t know how to read a basic financial statement. Why I’m always stuck being the treasurer.
You can’t even spell with auto correct on your phone.
