Buggs is a top tier player that we need. Career 2:1 assist ratio and a great rebounder for his position. Averaged 5.3 assists last year on one of the lowest scoring teams in D-1. If he scores in double figures here and there, that’s great! He has ties to ISU and the area—-this one is a no-brainer.

At this point there is no such thing as a “no-brainer.”

Regardless of what you think of them Berrry left ISU to join Shaka who was on the hot seat. Strength coach leaves ISU to go to UNLV. Those aren’t things that happen if things are in good shape future wise.

What about when Ayeni took a lateral move from Campbell’s staff to Northwestern? Is CMC taking our football team the wrong direction?

Isn’t Link a bachelor—-Vegas seems like a good destination! Also, didn’t Berry get a $100,000 raise from what he was making at ISU? If I remember right he went from 200k at ISU to 300k at Texas.

Wow. Was this a genuine post?

If the best we can do to disagree with the notion Prohm’s program is headed in the wrong direction is to bring up Ayeni leaving for his Alma mater, after a great season, then things are very bad

So leaving for your Alma mater is a valid excuse, but leaving for a bigger brand name and pay raise isn’t. Gotcha

No. It was a pay increase but not quite that significant. $220K to $270K

Bigger brand name where the coach was coaching for his life the last two years.

Alma mater and better employment for the spouse.

Are you aware we just had the most losses since the 70’s? Two years after another bad year? And that the football program likely had its best 3-year stretch since the 70’s? That poster is not exactly being prophetic. From afar, or to a fool, the two staff moves look similar, but results suggest that poster’s interpretation was correct.

Or coaching changes happen all the time whether you’re good or bad.

I think it’s a no-brainer because he has ties to the area, is a proven player, is immediately eligible, and is literally better than every player we lost from last year’s team except for Haliburton.
