I think JP will be too cheap to give him the well-deserved firing after next season, but the other part is laughable. Coaches who tumble like Prohm has don't get things turned around. They tumble because they're bad.
Not saying he'll do it again, but he already turned it around once, so what you said here doesn't make any sense.

Next year is looking like a disaster already. 3/4 years being absolutely disastrous is firable anywhere, especially here.

To say you know he won't be fired next year is an absurd statement.

If ISU doesn’t land this guy could we hit 30 losses next season?
Nah. I don’t think we’ll be any worse next year than we were this past season. Yeah losing Tyrese hurts but he was injured most of the conference season anyways and I don’t think it’ll be that hard to replace Nixon and Jacobson. Everyone returning is a year older + Javan and the 4 freshman have potential. I think the reason why it sucks to miss out on so many players this spring is because I thought we were only 2/3 additions away from being a solid team.

I’m meh on Dejulius unless we add some other good players to go along with him. He’s not good enough to chance the direction of the program by himself. Him needing a waiver also keeps my excitement a little down. I just see him as being a solid pickup but not a game changer.

Can't get Dejulius + some other good players without first getting Dejulius. I'm going to give Prohm the benefit of the doubt here and be thrilled of we grab him and hold out hope another high impact transfer is on the way later this Spring.

Or maybe they take a step back because they lost multi Pro level players in a short amount of time. Great recruiting class coming in, we land one or 2 of these transfers and we are back on track.

What about the 2019 recruiting class? Can’t recruit every other year and maintain a solid program.

Dejulius may not be Royce White that kick starts a rebuild but he could be a Clyburn or Lucious type of piece.

So it’s a sure thing we get this young man. No doubts?
It's never a sure thing until he commits. The people I know, one in particular, says they are about 90% sure he's coming and would be SHOCKED if he picked someplace else. It's feeling like it's a great fit for both parties. Marquette is who I was most afraid of, but CW saying they aren't a player makes me even more confident.

Without landing a transfer we need Walker to be a serviceable PG next year, Foster to push the vets for starter minutes, Johnson to be a solid starter and Blackwell or Dubar to be Big XII ready. Tall order but that's the hand we currently hold.

If the Dejulius news is true Walker can be removed from the previous paragraph.

He will be a very nice piece to have next year. There's no point of dissecting it any further that that. From the start of this, we needed a PG and a quality wing for next year's team to be highly competitive. Well, DeJulius fills that PG spot well.

If he ends up coming here, it could possibly attract someone who could fill that next void that we have.

Exactly. We have four open scholarships. One domino at a time. A former top 100 recruit and Michigan signee is a great piece.

If this new transfer rule passes and it goes into effect this year and not next, there will possibly be a lot more players transferring out of there respective schools. Silly season is far from over, we just need one to go our way soon for the moral of our fanbase.
