I wasn't exactly comparing us to Nebraska. I was stating that despite all their transfers they will still suck.
Right but both came here 4 or 5 years after the GT stuff started catching on, Fred didn't pioneer it. They both came here because we had been successful. Even before Kane got here Fred had that rep, idk where it came from. He was a sit out guy. Still is.
and Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Kansas State. Which one was rated in the Top 10 5 years ago?
Was a lot more efficient all around after his sit out year despite moving up to the P5 level. Good positional size and shooting at least. A decent tier 2 pickup without digging in super deep
Isn’t Turner likely heading to Missouri?
We weren’t the first to do it, and GTs, like all transfers, look for many things. It’s all sales! Times haven’t changed as much as our staff has- this one isn’t as apt in transfer recruiting as Matt Abdelmassih.
Top GTs have always been tough to get. The previous staff only had Anderson (which we started recruiting under McD), Kane, and BDJ. The latter was probably the “biggest” recruiting win.
agree. At least Buggs we know would be thrilled to be at Iowa State and be a proud Cyclone. This other guy could be also but we at least know Buggs would right from the start.
If we get Buggs, I'm 100% buying a Toon Squad Buggs Bunny jersey.

If he is the fourth guy we take/essentially a practice body, then fine, no problem, but if that is the best one we have for next year... eek.
I’d have Bolden’s ceiling a little higher. The Buggs add made more sense to me if we paired a scoring guard/wing next to Bolton like Justin Turner or Keon Ellis.
Yeah I said something around these exact same lines earlier in which if he ends up being are best transfer, we're not sitting good for next year. If that happens, screw it, I'm still getting the jersey and leaning into it lol.
Well, hopefully Walker, Dubar, Blackwell and Foster are stars from the start. Maybe Johnson, Bolton, Young, Conditt and Jackson will make huge strides. Hoping for a miracle with Carton who likely could get a waiver.
