Shrug. Fit is everything. It was never going to work out for him at ISU.
dumb. I was going to start a thread about it also. Bottom line is McDermott just could not get it together at Iowa State. No idea why. I think Craig Brackens helped and really hurt him. He didn’t

I have had to explained to me before why Greg didn't work out at ISU and I still don't understand. I don't understand why he didn't recruit his own son to ISU, how could you miss on a guy you see every day?
How could you be so bad at ISU but do well in the Big East? I could kinda see the MVC working, big fish small pond scenario. But he's thrived since they've moved!

No, the OP is a troll and has been in any situation in which ISU is not doing as well as other in-state teams for several months now. It's very easy to tell .
That's pretty funny that you were going to post the same thing though.
Iowa State is a relatively small fish in an ocean (big 12). Plus, we have the complexity of a football program, that Creighton (essentially) doesn't need to worry about.

Realistically, if you are truly a uni fan you would acknowledge no one has actually done more to damage uni than McDermott.
he left for Iowa State, after 3 bids and couldn’t wait to leave.
then went to creighton, and took Doug with him. Uni probably has 3 more tournament bids with him.
Then helped creighton transition into the big East taking one of the three premier teams in that league away, and leading to Wichita State getting ideas they could leave too.
