Many people were debating the best ISU logo on Twitter yesterday, so I made this.

Which set do you choose?



Timeless notes:

• I-State logo font was updated (see A/E)
• New Cyclone by Friendan Design (IG)
• Cy's dated boots removed to show talons & chest logo slightly changed to be new "I" shape

All 3 logos together represent last 50 years of ISU sports, from the great 1970s football teams, to Johnny Orr and Hilton Magic, to our current Cyclones.

Can't do an either/or. Current ISU, Timeless Cyclone and Cy.

The I state logo has been good for branding, but I love the old school tornado and Walking Cy logos as alternates

Nothing wrong with the current I-State logo, but the Timeless I-State Logo looks so much better only using 2 colors. The multiple variants of cardinal/shading doesn't look as clean through all of the current logos.

The correct answer is TIMELESS.

Why is this so hard for the marketing department to understand?

(Also, I really like the stomping boots of the walking Cy, but talons are pretty cool as well!)

The color on the new walking Cy looks weird on clothing, I'm old school, the tornado logo with Iowa State above it on the football helmets from the early/mid 80's is my favorite. It's the first logo I repped as as a kid.
