I have never seen a SAW movie either. Or a Fast and Furious movie. I've also never read a Stephen King book or a Harry Potter book.
Watched the first Saw. That was enough. I've read about 1/3 to 1/2 of King's books, and seen most of the movies made from them (SK is NOT the same as Saw, IMO). I haven't seen any of the F&F movies (except the spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, which was kind of funny). No Harry Potter OR Twilight (books OR movies).

I read the Harry Potter series with my oldest niece as she was growing up. I had got hurt and was laid up for a while, she gave me her copy to read of the 1st one I bought the rest for her as they came out. Her folks got a good deal on that LOL.

I'm very tired. Thought I would play hooky and take a little nap after a late lunch. Well, kids get out 2 hours early today. 5 minutes into my nap my daughter walks in with a couple friends. Back to work I guess.

I made the comment about King and Saw films pretty tongue in cheek. Steve King writes horror, true enough, but his character delineations are so strong as to convince the reader that caring about them really matters.

The Saw films, on the other hand, are basically glorified torture porn with a central unifying character (who is so repulsive and evil that caring about him doesn't even enter the consciousness).

I can't give blood again for another month and the Red Cross is already sending me emails to make an appointment

Seems I get a daily call from Madison, WI about giving blood. Is it because O+ is so universal?

Never had a blood transfusion before but was wondering for people that do, does the hospital charge your for it? I've always wondered that. I used to donate blood all the time. I would even do the double reds. Then a plasma place opened and I started donating plasma.

Man, I was dealing with a client and they asked when I would have the work finished. I told them, "Well, Its thursday so I can probably hit it this weekend and have it on the boss' desk by Monday. They gave me a strange look and informed me it was Wednesday. I was honestly confused for a while, don't think that lady had much confidence in me then.

I donated blood regularly until I fell out of the cycle. All I usually got was an egg or ham salad sandwich. Then those quit and it was some nutter butters. Then I hear people are getting paid. So them city folks are stealing the blood from us hicks.

Just rubbed my forehead and noticed my hand was dirty. Then I realized I went at church for Ash Wednesday this morning. Can this day be over now?

I guess that I look at blood donating as a community service. It's something that I can do that I'm pretty sure is helping someone out. I've thought about selling plasma but just keep donating blood instead. Oh well.

Here is a chart of each blood type. Depending on your blood type they have preferred donations. Some they prefer Double Red, some platelets, some whole blood even though they'll take what they can get.
I'm O- so they prefer double red but if I go to a blood mobile to donate they only do whole blood so that's what they get.
