One of my favorite trivia questions to ask people is "what song was the first song played when WKRP switched to Rock & Roll?"

PW came to Denver on the tour for Folker. During the show, he comments that the show was nearly cancelled as he had to go to the hospital after an incident while ironing his pants. Lesson learned, don't try to iron your pants while wearing them. He dropped his pants on stage to show a huge bandage on his leg and played the next song with his pants around his ankles.

The first two clips are of Ann-Margret in January 1961, 19 then and a sophomore at Northwestern, auditioning for a new movie version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair. Considered too hot to play the farmer’s daughter, they made her the entertainer instead.
