We were subs on a team for a couple of years. We were at the 20th anniversary, and part of the gift pack was the t-shirt and a Cy Bobblehead. We gave one of those to our son who was on the Cy squad when he was in school here. In the lottery drawings, we won tickets for different sporting events (WBB single game & Volleyball season tickets, iirc). We also won an ISU flag signed by Campbell & Prohm. We bought 20 tickets each year, came away with at least 2 prizes.
The trivia is in rounds (8 or 10, can't remember). Each round is a different category, and has ten questions. At the end of each round all the teams turn their answers in to the judges. No phones or other internet access devices are allowed. I don't remember what the top prize is, but it seems it has been pretty much the same 2-3 teams at the top every year from what I've heard. Our team was top 25 one year and top 10 the other (8th or 9th, I think? I don't think the cash prizes go beyond the top three, but it's been a few years. :)

In the past the top prize was football tickets, a tailgate tent, and I can’t remember what else. Then 2nd is a MBB prize package and 3rd a WBB prize package. They used to only give out top three, now they go down at least 6 spots—like free tickets to volleyball or gymnastics type of thing. And I think they have started stipulating that you can’t technically win 1st two years in a row. Or I could just be making all this stuff up in my head.

We have had a team ever since the first one and usually fall in the top 10. Have won the big prizes. Now we let other people win.

How is it that in the year 2020 people still don't understand how to make a shortcut to their desktop for an application?
They constantly create a shortcut then copy and paste it on their desktop leaving shortcuts all over the place in folders :mad::mad::mad:
Boomers? ;)

Don't think I can help with trivia as I have a slow twitch brain. Sort of the brain equivalent of a distance runners slow twitch muscles. For trivia you need a faster twitching brain (like the sprinters fast twitchin’ muscles) than mine.

The old student radio Kaleidoquiz was fun back in the day. No internet, just guys up all night in the den with reference books and some running out for the answers that you had to drive to someplace like Boone to find. My old roomie was good at it. Something like 4 a.m or so and the question was "Who said Everything you see I owe to spaghetti?" Roomie, who had appeared to be asleep and had just been snoring with head back in a chair, opened one eye and said "Sophie Loren" than closed the eye and for all purposes looked to be sound asleep again.

You know what they say about a shortcut.

It's the longest distance between two points.

My ex-brother-in-law told me that one after I got lost on a back roads short cut in Western Illinois in a moving truck.

That huge change for Friday night, pushed back a week. It was supposed to be done last October and the idiots scheduled it for the last possible weekend and we only found out about it by accident. If we hadn't things would have gone downhill real quick on Friday night and I can pretty much be assured I would have been the first person called.

The change for midnight Monday morning has been postponed as well. :)

TV saying that coronovirus only spread between very close contact between husband and wife. If this is some STD, did the husband or wife have the affair?
