I used to know a bunch of useless information. Now my mind is pretty much just useless.
He also went to the Grove Cafe (downtown Ames) yesterday and people started recognizing him right away. He ended up at the grill, behind the counter, at least for a photo with the owner. I wouldn't have known any of this except it was all over the Ames People FB group yesterday.
I think the sign's still there, but he might be outgrowing it. He doesn't sit on the steps much anymore.
We're not already doing it. Always thought it would be fun even though I know so little trivia. Saturday after Easter, right? Keep me posted -- we're still trying to figure out timing of a trip to Oregon. Thanks!
So - @NWICY and @ImJustKCClone, can you guys give me a little info about this trivia contest, when and where, how does it work, etc. I'm looking forward to it!
Heard it’s strip trivia. Last one with any clothes on wins.
It's held in Hilton, teams of 8, free drinks and food and a long sleeve T for the entry fee. I went once a few yrs ago a friend of a friend's team needed one. Back then there was one team that had one several in a row we ended up 3 from the bottom if I remember right. It was a fun nite. For the most part it is general trivia not ISU specific. Drawing for door prizes also. KC might remember more than I do. Also some coaches and players come around and visit/help your table. I think it was a wrestling coach that visited our table.
Regular trivia sorry to disappoint. Any interest BC you can take the boy out for breakfast on Sun.

If we each try to get a table we have more chances. I think we had six people trying last year. If more than one of us gets a table, we can decline the extra table(s). Lew & I will register today. So that's four of us, or is the Vixen in on it too, @SCyclone
We were subs on a team for a couple of years. We were at the 20th anniversary, and part of the gift pack was the t-shirt and a Cy Bobblehead. We gave one of those to our son who was on the Cy squad when he was in school here. In the lottery drawings, we won tickets for different sporting events (WBB single game & Volleyball season tickets, iirc). We also won an ISU flag signed by Campbell & Prohm. We bought 20 tickets each year, came away with at least 2 prizes.
The trivia is in rounds (8 or 10, can't remember). Each round is a different category, and has ten questions. At the end of each round all the teams turn their answers in to the judges. No phones or other internet access devices are allowed. I don't remember what the top prize is, but it seems it has been pretty much the same 2-3 teams at the top every year from what I've heard. Our team was top 25 one year and top 10 the other (8th or 9th, I think? I don't think the cash prizes go beyond the top three, but it's been a few years.

How is it that in the year 2020 people still don't understand how to make a shortcut to their desktop for an application?
They constantly create a shortcut then copy and paste it on their desktop leaving shortcuts all over the place in folders
