Mine was a fairly painful experience, but I'd still do it again. Better than my wife having her tubes tied, and I love my kids but a third one would almost certainly break me.

I know a couple guys that have ongoing pain from a vasectomy for years after the procedure. When they finish it feels like they got punched in the balls. Doctors told them its rare, but nothing they can do about it, take some ibuprofen. Yeah... Ill pass.

So my wife got the tubal and was down 3-4 days, I couldnt be happier.

I'd say. Most doctor's offices put you in a private room with a willing nurse and say, "Have your way with her." About 45 seconds later they have your sample.

For me, it wasn't painless but it wasn't exactly very painful. I needed peas and corn for a couple of days. Each day improved and all discomfort was gone in less than 10 days.

From what I understand, the guys that have trouble after them don’t get them done by a specialist or urologist.
