No way in hell that's true. We already know from experience that poor defensive teams can still win with insane offense. Our problem is that we aren't awesome at either.

This team composition is absolutely terrible without outside threats. Those have largely been absent this season.

26th in adjusted offensive efficiency, 113th in adjusted defensive efficiency coming into the night. 1st in offensive efficiency in conference play, 10th in defensive efficiency.

Our three point defense is among the worst in the country and we give up offensive boards, so teams get more looks from two. Our offense is also an issue, but the defense is a bigger one.

It seems this game comes down to the last :03 in the first half and the first 4 minutes in the second. Otherwise kind of even. Not that we are as good as these guys now, but that feels like how the game went. And I still do not like Drew.

If we were Kansas and could just go get another four star, sure. But we have to fight for those guys. Losing THT and LW early sucked. We lose what we did, and we take a step back.

At this point in the season Grill needs to be getting some
Major minutes as well as Jackson. We’re not making the tourney so get those young guys up to speed. Same with Zion. I know Grill is not the guy to win games right now but I think he will be a good player down the line. More minutes for the young guys. I

unfortunately he's most of our talent so teams know to stop him and not really worry.

Adjusted offense stat is buoyed by us being pretty reliable for interior offense, we shoot well there. Our biggest problem, by far, is the severe lack of 3-point game. It makes us too predictable and easy to stop as the game progresses.

Our defense is definitely bad, I don't disagree, but we struggle to win decent defensive games if we still don't make outside shots. Even right now, we have Baylor pretty much at their average offensive output. Ours on the other hand...

Plus fans who like to tear down the Hoiberg era to try to make Prohm look better always like to talk about how Prohm was better on defense.. when he's actually averaged worse.
