Hello! Long time no post! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and start to the new year. As for me, it turns out that ring was burning a bigger hole in my pocket than I thought. This past Saturday we went to a country church near my house that is very special to both of us for a few reasons. It was built in the late 1800s, I have had family members married there, I did my Eagle Scout project at the adjoining cemetery, and one of our first few dates included attending a special memorial day service there. I got up early and had her meet me there, then when she got there I sang a song and played my guitar and proposed. She said yes, promptly followed by, "you jerk, you made me cry!" We couldn't be more excited! Now the fun of planning a wedding begins :)

Happy for you. When you have a stalker on the first date, you know it’s meant to be. ;)

News reported that the crappiest age in life is 47.2. So, I guess my life sucks. Supposed to be great at 70 again. KC must be happy.

Ecstatic, thank you very much! And since I won't even be 65 for another week or so, I'm on the upward trend still!

Life is good. VERY good. :D

On Saturday, Oprah told my wife that the 40's were great because you are mostly at the top of your game. She followed that up by saying that the 50's are even better because you no longer care about what people think about you. Well, the second part of the second sentence is certainly true.

Im confused as I haven’t care for 10 years now. Maybe even longer. I enjoy when I can **** someone off that is being an *** or just being.

We got burned with the snow predictions last week, cancelled all Friday and Sat activities then we got a dusting of snow. This morning was a 2hr delay for ice (which was real) which means I don’t have work. I only work 4 mornings a week in preschool so if preschool is cancelled, I have no work. After I got my own kids off to school I was making a lit of things I could get done. Then got called in to sub, so no day off.

We will see what happens with Friday, HS has semester tests all day. They got messed up due to weather last year, too. Winter Formal dance is Saturday night.

My parents were supposed to fly with some other donors down to Baylor today for the game (just a quick 12hr trip). That was cancelled due to the weather. I don’t think they were too upset.

Congrats. I thought I'd add the following photo of you actually playing that fateful morning.

Our basketball game got moved from Friday to tomorrow night. Was an activity at the church I was going to attend, daughter’s activities come first. So, watch out for stray lightening bolts if walking next to me tomorrow night.
