Slow-day OT - The Best Around

Recency bias is tough to overcome. I started bingeing Sopranos late, and once I did, I got through the whole series in like 4 months. Lots of 4am bedtimes those days. That show has got to be a top 5 all timer.

I was going to also do a "top ten of 2019" thread to sort of combat that. But I realized I don't watch a ton of shows at the time they're on, so I think my top 10 for this year would not be a full ten:

1. Russian Doll
2. What We Do In the Shadows
3. Better Things
4. Mindhunter
5. Big Little Lies (season 2) - I hate the slut-shaming in the season, though, so sort of want to take it off

Breaking Bad
Seinfeld
The Office
Boardwalk Empire
ER (Seasons 1-7)
Monk
All in the Family
Boston Legal
Frasier
Marvelous Mrs Maisel

EDIT--Forgot The Middle somehow.

Since I don't watch much tv outside of sports anymore, my list is gonna be different from many others. I have never watched Sopranos, Mad Men, Walking Dead, The Wire

In no order:

Archer
Cheers
Seinfeld
Simpsons
Chuck
Family Guy
Hogan's Heroes
Robot Chicken
GOT
Chappelle's Show

Just missed based on lack of volume (love them both, but I haven't watched either a bunch)
Arrested Development
Always Sunny

My list, 1 thru 10. There may be others, but in terms of "appointment" TV, wanting to see new episodes right away, these are the ones. I will say that Firefly was a DVD box set from my sons, and I basically binged it long after it had aired, and West Wing, Game of Thrones, and Walking Dead I didn't discover until they had already aired a season or two, but was hooked after that. I still think of West Wing as the best written, best acted show I've ever seen.

West Wing
Band of Brothers
M*A*S*H
Newsroom
Firefly
Game of Thrones
Walking Dead
NCIS
NYPD Blue
St Elsewhere

Here is my quickly formed and ranked "Top 10"

1. Seinfeld

2. The Office

3. The League

4. Boy Meets World

5. Friends

6. Everybody Loves Raymond

7. The Wonder Years

8. Cheers

9. The Middle

10. Wings

The Office
The River
South Park
Twilight Zone
Greg the Bunny
The Alfred Hitchcock Hour
Trailer Park Boys
Tales from the Crypt
Dr Katz-Professional Therapist

Love reading lists like this because there are so many shows I watch/have watched that are great but I don't think of them as "best of all time", but would happily re-watch in-full. Lots that I have forgot about being mentioned, sparking my interest in re-watching.

1- Twilight Zone
10- Two and a Half Men
10- HR Puff-N-Stuff
10-American Horror Story
10-Survivor
10- Oak Island
10- Super Friends
10- Amazing Race
10- Black Sheep Squadron
10- Seinfeld

What in the actual f&ck...I don't see Dallas on anyone's list.

Do yourselves a favor and find seasons 1-3 of Dallas and watch those babies. 24 karat solid gold 1970's drama series. The cars, booze, sexy '70's ladies, and J.R. Effing Ewing. It has no peer!

Chuck was great!
I still watch Hogan's Heroes.

No particular order, I'm thinking more of shows that have ended than are currently going probably from different decades too

Friday Night Lights - great binge watch if you never watched the series
Seinfeld
Dukes of Hazzard
The A Team
MASH - I didnt really get into this show until after 2000 while in my 20s and now I watch it all the time when I find it on.
Home Improvement
The Big Bang Theory
Parenthood

This is wrong and you should feel bad.

No list so far includes The X-Files.
That needs fixing.

1. Seinfeld
2. Deadwood
3. Cheers
4. M*A*S*H*
5. The Sopranos
6. Curb Your Enthusiasm
7. The Office
8. Dukes of Hazzard
9. The Carol Burnett Show
10. Late Show with David Letterman

'St. Elsewhere' on Wednesday nights was a religion in my house growing up. Great show, great cast with young Denzel, Ed Begley, Howie Mandel.

'Dallas' just missed the cut for me but you couldn't be more right. Big boobs, cowboy hats, excess and probably the best heel in TV history.
