Some thoughts on the bowl destination...

It will be Oklahoma in the playoff and Baylor in the Sugar.

Thought the only way the big 12 would get in the cotton bowl was if the conference didn't get in the CFP but had two teams in top 10 or 12. With OU in CFP then Baylor to sugar and we go from there.
Didn’t camping world have reps at the ISU/OU game? That along with our rep for traveling, talent at QB/TE/RB, and the fact 50(college and NFL) teams wanted to learn our defense over the summer... not to mention our up and coming HC who’s name comes up every opening... I think we have a shot to “jump” a few teams we are tied with.
Head to head does not matter. Liberty Bowl picked ISU over KSU and WVU 2 years ago, and we lost to both of them.
I’m not convinced ISU goes to the Camping World. But I am convinced the only lock above them is Texas. And for that same reason the Alamo could take Texas making it a tough choice between the other three schools.

Clarify -- mainly aimed at point of bowl reps at ISU OU game. I was misleading trying to make my statement too broad. Partly rescinded.

No. I know how it is. Don't worry I nixed my post, it was meant as narrow reference to one aspect comparing ISU and KSU, but it came off differently
This is just my opinion, but we are easily the second most attractive bowl team after OU and Baylor. Thinking we will be picked last out of the Big 12 bowl teams with what our fanbase has shown the last few years is crazy. Not to mention we have an AD who knows how to politic this stuff. I'll be pretty surprised if we go to the Liberty at this point.
FWIW on Cheez It: It looks like that is out but I don’t think that is 100 percent the case because like the Big 12, the SEC isn’t going to fill it’s allotment. From what I understand, ESPN could come into play to move some teams around to assure attractive matchups during prime time, etc. I don’t have any specifics but that’s my understanding of the situation as a whole.
They're often dumbasses for how they sound playing a guessing game and often whiffing or being flat out wrong.
But they look brilliant landing a job where talking is the requirement.
Same with the rules analysts. Their input has no impact on the game whatsoever, but they sure can say stuff.
Bowls care about travel, tickets, and tv. They don’t care about our defensive scheme.
Agree, not sure it's in that order because TV revenue may be the biggest driver now.
