I guess I can’t blame him much when the official lets the opponent stall off the mat.
Wasnt the 1st one when he got a stall warning and his disagreed with the ref? 2nd one was for the takedown out of bounds.
From my uneducated perspective, it seemed like Gremmel was pushing the action and their guy was hanging on the edge retreating directly out anytime he was threatened. Gremmel said something to the ref out of frustration, and then rode him off the mat onto the hardwood. And then did it again right after being penalized. Need a bit more composure in that situation, but also terrible job by the ref not making Bucknel wrestle.
Not an excuse here but that was the worst controlled match by a ref that I have witnessed in all my years of watching college wrestling.
Ref was terrible the whole meet and that was just the cherry on top.
Yes, we won 24-15. It really wasn't that close but we lost 6 big points with the DQ.

Two UC penalties is a match DQ. There's no additional penalty/suspension.
Both penalties were for off the mat/after the whistle action.

Then he's either lying, or the person who told him that has no idea.
The call was unsportsmanlike. The penalty is disqualification for that match.
Had the call been flagrant misconduct, it would warrant an additional suspension.
Well, I give Willie plenty of crap on Twitter, so it’s well deserved.
He wasn’t favored and lost by 1. Ok.
Stop making excuses for Gremmell. What he did was just plain dumb. A ref not calling enough stalling doesn’t mean you get to act like that. He’s grown up a lot at ISU so I hope this is a blip on the radar.
