B12 is truly muddled this Sunday ...

If the point is that all the teams are more "bunched up" than usual, I would agree with that. After yesterday, it feels like any team could beat any other team any given Saturday (at least kind of).

Well then as of this week OU is not number 1 going by what you said. Its BU and everyone else.

  1. OU - bushwacked
  2. BU - a real title threat now
  3. oSu - talented
  4. K-State - bison-ball
  5. ISU - run the damn ball!
  6. TCU - hornblower
  7. Texas - defenseless
  8. WVU - off
  9. Ku - gift-wrapped
  10. TxT - gift wrapper
Holy overreaction to one week Batman. Sorry, but Okie State is not the third best team. Your last place team, Texas Tech, just owned them a couple of weeks ago. And at this point how can you have OU #1 still after losing to K State, while Baylor (who I despise and hate making any case for) flat out owned K State in Manhattan? I get what you are doing with really going week to week, but you lose all credibility keeping OU at #1 then.

Iowa State is tough to place honestly because they played just terrible yesterday but somehow still had a chance to win that game, and Oklahoma State had lost two straight coming into that while ISU had won three straight, including at Tech where OSU lost. ISU also trashed TCU at home while KSU won by a TD. However, OSU beat ISU at their house so I get that holds big weight. And K State with a statement win over OU gives them a big jolt. I will be very honest, I truthfully don’t think OU is that great, and I expect Iowa State to have a chance in the 4th Qtr to win that game.

Only one thing I do know... the Big 12 is just full of good teams and not any great teams.

1. Oklahoma
2. Baylor
3-7. Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas in alphabetical order
8-10. Kansas, Texas Tech, West Virginia in alphabetical order

I think any of the teams in the 3-7 tier would probably win at home against any of the others in that tier. Unfortunately didn't happen in Ames this weekend, but three 50+ yard TDs and a pick six will do that.

TCU just beat Texas by 10, we beat TCU by 25, so we will beat Texas by 35.

Everyone knows you cannot use this sort of game-to-game comparisons. Every game, every week is different, especially in the Big 12 where it appears this year anyway there are no weak teams. No game is a gimme for anyone. This is going to happen occasionally when you only have 10 teams. We have to be, by far, the most overall competitive conference. We don't have an Alabama or an Ohio State. But we also don't have a Rutgers, Purdue, Northwestern, Maryland, Arkansas, Mississippi State or Vanderbilt.

So each of our final 4 games is going to be a challenge, but chances are we will have a chance to win every game but we will have the potential to lose every game. Right now I don't think we can ask for anything more. Remember, we were stuck as a 2-win or 3-win team as recent as 2016. We are trending in the right direction.

You said he overracted to one game but then say he loses all credibility for not booting OU out of the number 1 spot? ..based on one game.

Oklahoma is clearly the class of the big 12 and had a terrible game. Baylor really needs to prove their worth before taking over the top spot just because someone else lost.

WTS, if you put Baylor at 1 that's fine but its not at all ridiculous to keep OU there

My post went way over your head my friend. I never said I wouldn’t rank OU #1. I pointed out the massive flaw in his rankings from what happens each week. OU lost and Baylor is the only team without a conference loss. They beat ISU and demolished his current number 3 and 4 teams while OU lost to one of those teams at Manhattan where Baylor smoked the Wildcats.

His ranking just contradicts what he is going for. Truthfully there is a bunch of 1A and 1B teams because the league honestly is just balanced with a bunch of decent teams. Nobody elite or even great. OU hasn’t really impressed me and I think we show that in two weeks. Win? Maybe. But I bet we make that a last couple of minutes type of game.

Lets just win 4 in a row and spoil Baylors chance to play in the CFB playoff by kicking a game winning field goal causing their three touchdown 4th quarter comeback to come up just a little bit short.

Who cares about a K-State thread? Plenty of other places to post about the Big 12 from an Iowa State perspective.

I don't believe BU can hang with OU's offense. That's why I kept OU first. Your T3's are the same as my muddle, I guess. Not sure how to rank the last three. But the way last weekend went had WVU played Baylor, they'd like have skinned the bear.
