Kansas men's basketball charged with multiple Level 1 allegations, including lack of institutional c

Wow, I'm not sure what to make of this, when they're in the midst of the NCAA investigation.

"To promote Snoop Dogg's performance, Kansas last week produced a video with Self wearing a shirt with a large "Adidas Basketball" logo and a chain with a "$" sign."

Me neither
They went Snoop Dogg, pole dancers (tip of the cap to Georgia Tech, Louisville) and shot a money cannon of fake cash at the players (tip of the cap to new CA law).

They are certainly taking...... an approach to this. Not sure if it would be what I would advise but it is pretty stunningly bold. Gonna be an interesting season.

Do you have any links to sources for this? Kinda sounds like a made up story that doesn't jibe with any actual ncaa regulations. You know they have pretty strict rules about this, right?

Not sure how old you are but the era I was referring to was back in the 70s. Not interested in that much research. But it was very common for them to have 125+ players suit up.

You know, quite a few of your posts are along the lines of "they do it so we need to too". Is that what KU is all about; to be as bad/dirty as the other bad/dirty programs out there? Is there some fraternity of Georgia Tech, Lousville, KU, etc. that a 'tip of the cap' reveres or references? Doesn't really demand respect for KU as an institution.

I've seen other posts on twitter along the lines of hoping KU does well to give the middle finger to the NCAA. If that really happens and KU is off the hook, then game on. I hope the NCAA throws the book at KU, but if not and all the other schools can take advantage of what KU gets to do now, KU will be just like the rest. Either way, KU is screwed.

Do go on about how Kansas has faced no ncaa penalties.... I can't remember the last season we didnt have a player out for a period of time due to ncaa penalty.

Dont just make crap up to magnify your rant. The truth is bad enough to make your case, dont lie to make it seem worse.

Lack of Institutional Control - seems like KU and Bill didn't get the message the first 4 times.

The crystal balls trending towards Michigan this morning. One of KU's top targets.

Make sense, he just visited Michigan and apparently clicked with Howard.
Though he likes the KU staff the pending NCAA sanctions likely hurt their chances, especially since he is announcing shortly instead of waiting to see Self/KU's fate.

From what I have read about this kid, he likely isn't playing college ball. One of several top 15 kids that have been rumored to most likely be playing overseas next year.

Let me get this straight.... you think one Calvin Broadus Jr. (aka Snoop Dogg) put enough thought into his performance to incorporate digs against Georgia Tech, Louisville, and some new California law?

This is a man whose musical lyrics glamorize drugs, violence, and carry a misogynistic tone.
This is a man who has had several weapons and drug related offenses in his past.
This is a man that wrote and appeared in a 'film' produced by the late Larry Flynt.
This is a man who is a regular on the cover of "High Times" magazine.

Have you ever been to a Snoop Dogg concert? If you try to book Snoop for a show, and he agrees to terms, he throws in the stripper poles, dancers to work them, and a money cannon(s) for free. He left the giant inflatable bong and smoke machine out of the show, 'cause "kids".

For the record, I like Snoop, and have a fond recollection to his early catalog as his collaboration with Dr. Dre happened to coincide with my formative years. (I can probably still recite many of his hits.)

For anyone to claim that they didn't do enough vetting before the show is absurd on its face. This is tone deaf 101. Either KU has decided to continue to take steps toward the outlaw end of the spectrum, or they're in such a confirmation bias bubble which has gained enough mass to begin warping the very fabric of reality.
