Thought of this just know, was at a parade a month or so ago and one lady was asking for signatures from people for her son to run for some state legislative seat. I have no idea who he was but have always thought if someone wants to stick their neck out, let them run. Competition holds people accountable.
Do any of you refuse to sign the registers to allow people’s names on a ballot? If so, what is your reasoning? Had a couple people around me refuse to sign and they both had different reasons.

If I see something with Taylor Royal's name on it I am conflicted.
If I sign:
I am all for him to waste more of his families money on yet another failed election bid
But then if he actually won we would be stuck with him and he is the type of person that has aspirations to be a life long politician and I don't want him getting that foot in the door as it seems once someone gets elected they spend the rest of their life in some form or another sucking off the taxpayer teat.
I'll sign for folk usually it's just to get them into the primary, if they are willing to run go get it. I can always vote however I want come election time.
I tend to ask for their positions before signing. I won't sign for someone if I know of them and their stances and heartily disagree with them. For example, if Jacob Wohl asked for signatures? OHELLNO.
Last time RAGBRAI went up that way it went from Lamont to Strawberry Point, but not through the park (
). I took a bunch of our team through the park anyway.
I don't recall ever signing one. One big reason is I can only remember getting asked in Iowa and my home address is in Minnesota. I don't want my signature along with a few others getting thrown out due to not being in the district and them not having enough when they thought they did.
It was nice to put a face with a name, Rulzzz.
I saw Georges walk by our tailgate but sadly he didn't stop.
Between our schedules and the daughters birthday party this coming weekend we are selling our tickets for this week. Let me know if you are interested.

No excuse, just didn't do it. Stayed MAINLY dry throughout the whole tailgate and rain/lightning delays. But oh good grief...we parked in G7. The amount of water and mud and muck and...ugh...after the game. Needless to say, I rode home bare foot.
I didn't get to hang with Niang (tee hee), but Monte Morris walked past us in the stands. So there's that.

Know it wasn’t because this lady was KCs height but want hairy enough for her.

Wouldn't be me anyway...we park in paved lots. I won't do G7 again. Had that lot for two years, was only able to park in them for about 50% of the games due to rain/snow.

Was in upper deck two years ago to let FIL sit with my wife. We are 29.

I somehow lost my ticket after getting in the stadium so I didn't leave with MrsWx and my parents. Of course the CSC event staff were unhelpful as always with answering my question if the ticket office was open to reprint it. Thus I waited back and then waited until the wrong time to see if they were open. Got it reprinted and left the ticket office just as the heavens opened with heavy rain and hail. Attempted to run back to C2. Got soaked. Stopped just after I got back.
Changed shirt and socks. Slammed another beer on our way back. Drove home without shoes on as well. Oh and my legs still hurt from attempting to sprint that far.

Ask Algona. Or Ms3. Or Velo. My hair was in a ponytail yesterday, poked through the back of my cap. When it's wet, it looks like dreds.
I misplaced my ticket also, so we when we tried to go out during the first delay we couldn't. And to be scanning only (not stamping) - how fricking stupid!!!
Found it under my seat when we went back up. Second delay, we huddled in the stairwell with about 200 of our best friends
We finally decided to go on out when the hail began, and sit in our car. I can only stand for so long before my back begins to ache. It was pouring down rain, and the staff at the gate (#2) were just waving everyone through and not scanning anyone. We were in slickers and had our caps on...soaked from the thighs down. We saw groups of 2-3 people huddled under nearly every tiny tree as we headed for the lots. We came across a river across our path and basically just said "**** it" and started stomping through it & kicking up splashes...reminiscent of Gene Kelly. We were laughing our butts off, but I'm sure the tree-huggers thought we were insane (or senile...).When we got out to the patio in front of gate #1, we saw a double rainbow and traded picture taking with a young couple walking next to us. They got a great shot of us with the rainbow overhead, but the second one had faded by then so that you can only see it if you know where it was.
