Iowa State invented the modern computer, they could creatively work with that somehow-someone or at least uniquely work it in somehow.
If they pick some tool like Tom Arnold or Ashton Kutcher fans need to boo the crap out if them the entire time that person is on air. I'd love to see Niang or Seneca or even Coach McCarney but guessing they likely will go with some lame celebrity type. If Fred wasnt working for Nebraska now he would have made an OK pick.
I think it will be an ISU alum/athlete. Most of the big name celebrities from Iowa are hok fans.
Outside of Iowa few probably even know who the hell he is so I doubt he will be. Even in Iowa he barely qualifies as a local celebrity

The choice is between an ISU former athlete/alum that nobody outside of Iowa knows, or a semi-celebrity type who would be neutral or lean Iowa. Gable would be a good solution.
