I think the beard looks good. He had it last week or the week before during a United Way event, and it looks great. I'd imagine it would be hot in the summer (aren't beards sort of like face parkas?), but keep it!

I've had one year-round for quite a few years, so I don't (or can't) notice any temperature effects. But mine is far from thick, so it's probably negligible.
