I opted out few months ago. My CF experience improved greatly right after. I don't follow politics all that much, but wanted to learn the issues. Apparently the Cave is not the place for learning, only name calling.
On the rare occasions that I venture into the cave I leave quickly.

Anger and hatred you say? Interesting. As an old white guy I can do anger and hatred but mine is usually directed at angry and hateful old white guys. Well, that and angry 30-something white guys. Lots of angry white guys out there.

I am probably doing it wrong.

I make some witty comments now and then, if I do say so myself.

I learned quite a bit when I ventured in several years ago. It was always a divisive place but moreso now with the current political climate. People who used to be more Conservative and would have discussion based arguments are now mostly absent or anti-Trump/leaning Democratic. That means that much of the comments now are between anti-Trump and Trump diehards/trolls. At least that's my take on it. There's still some interesting discussion between the different anti-Trump factions but you have to utilize your Ignore list to weed out the trolls.

Not exactly sure.
You know what. I'm a little crabby today.

On a related note, how's the planning going for the graduation party if you're having one?

Fairly well. Son is not too concerned about it. Biggest issue is invite list. He would prefer a smaller list but his mom believes in big lists and that there would be some butt hurt people if not invited even though they wouldn’t know him from Adam. Probably why our wedding was me inviting 60-70 (I do have a lot larger family) and she hit 450-470 area.

Just had a fox walk about 15 yards from my pickup on the yard.

Wife detail plans everything. Had a couple people call up and tell us they ARE helping with the day. I figure it’s his day so I will be in the background doing the crap work. Wife likes these things so she will be in the fore front also.

BTW, everyone here is invited. It’s at our house, right after the day of his graduation. :) That should be enough info to sort it out.

A bunch of random RTT people will show up and turn your son's graduation into the kegger scene from Dazed and Confused.

Very similar situation here. My wife's list for invites versus mine is insanely different in size. A couple of neighbor ladies volunteered to help us out during the festivities so that my wife can socialize. Are you having pulled pork or a taco bar since that seems to be what everybody is doing these days?

I'll also extend the invite also. Ours is 15 days after the graduation ceremony at our house. It's the house on the left just before our street turns into a cul de sac.

Anyone need directions?

Will there be any hoboes there? I guess the town thing isn't until August, right?

You bet, taco. Considered smoking brisket but would have drove the wife crazy.

You?

The other day I ended up down the rabbit hole watching The Office deleted scenes on YouTube. Annnnd just like that I'm halfway through season 2 again. It's like a drug habit I just can't kick.

We're still deciding but probably pulled pork. or maybe tacos. I might do pulled pork in the Instapot (I know this is sacrilege to some). It comes out pretty juicy and tender and I could do a few roasts pretty quickly. Whatever happened to ham sandwiches on dollar buns, a bowl of chips, a veggie tray, and either beans, slaw or potato salad?

Also, it's the graduating daughter's birthday today. Now that she's an adult I can charge her rent, right?
