Totally. And I could tell they were downplaying it that night but they all seemed calm and he seemed ok, though not great. Like, fighting the iv and nose suction, eyes open, crying, so not anywhere near unresponsive or turning blue anything like that. I saw his pulsox get to the low 80s as they were switching over ...idk, respiratory distress, sure. Failure seems extreme and the dr who said it wasn't there. I suppose if they hadnt done anything then yes ,hed have been in trouble.
Below 80 is indicative of hypoxemia. Below 60 is pretty much dead. I'm learning this stuff with my MIL on continuous O2.

I'm an idiot. I was going through my routine on the way to the airport and realized when I got there that I'm not coming back for 18 days. Should've Ubered and saved $300.

Bet I'm gonna have to eat some of that cost. Oof

Fort Lauderdale then San Diego for work, New Orleans for a bachelor party, back to San Diego, up to Pullman Washington for Wazzu's graduation for a friend, then to Los Angeles for work and finally back to Dallas.

This reminds me - while I was on vacation, you asked about "don't miss" things at Wazzu. Problem is, I haven't been back there since around 1982. I doubt I could give you anything useful! :D

I was wondering if you had your parade in New Orleans yet. Have fun.

Well actually that's another thing that was knixed because of the cheapness of the bachelor crew if you remember that post. I am currently out the deposit personally since I planned it after they initially agreed but I'm gonna get it back in some shape or form this weekend

Good to know, they didn't really say what they were expecting but Google tells me it needed to stay about 95 or higher, and it did last night...I pretty much slept with one eye open watching it! In the ER he was consistently 90-95 after the albuterol would wear off. I saw 80's briefly - as they were switching over to the CPAP and before they suctioned his nose, and in the ambulance for just a second. It did it yesterday a couple times but they said the sensor wasn't picking up correctly because he was totally fine and moving around.

I got down to 63% during my pulmonary embolism fiasco. High 80s is nothing. You'll feel it especially as a child but it won't limit you outside exercise in my experience.

Wouldn't ever wish it on anybody though, especially a kiddo.

Fidgeting can mess up ambulance monitors all around. 92/94 (don’t remember exact now) was where O2 went on. Younger kids make most nervous. Can’t communicate as well.

How the **** old are you? Hell, Stanley was there when I was still on campus.

Overheard at spring football game "Brother Wayne going to make you forget all about George Amundson!" I can still do an imitation of how she enunciated George (pause) Amundson.

I'll be 63 in July. :D

So Jodie (the oldest) and her family were here over the weekend.....they have the daughter who was on KCCI a few weeks ago getting her new bike from Variety Club, she suffers from West's Syndrome.

Anyway.....Saturday night Evelyn (the older one) throws up in the middle of the night, and then gets diarrhea. Andy (the husband) goes to get Mabel from the pack-n-play, and she has wet it and her pajamas and everything. Poor Jodie - she has her hands full with the little one. I feel so bad for them, but there's not much we can do, other than offer support and help them with babysitting when possible so they can have a night off.

But Easter Sunday went well - my solo went OK, and then the rest of the vixen's mob descended upon mi casa. The ham was delicious, and the kids got to hunt for eggs and tried to fly the kites the vixen bought for them.

Hope all my fellow RTTers had a wonderful holiday!!! So happy that CG's little guy is on the mend, prayer really does work!!!

I have a great first date last Friday, but she ghosted me. Now she texted and said she caught pneumonia and that is why she didn’t interact.

I only date the weird ones.

Is pneumonia even a thing in April?
If you enjoyed the date and you think she did too, give the second date a try. Also, you want to date the women that are at least a little weird. If they're not a little weird they're probably a lot boring.
