Lightning and some severely LOUD thunder in KC right now.

And rain, lots o rain. Perfect for the people who's houses still have their own personal moats.

It was just sleeting here

Sorry, but this made me laugh. If there's one thing I learned during my short stint in Omaha: There is no one-upping Omaha when it comes to ****** weather.

I think every rotten weather event that comes across the US, or out of Canada, has to make a pit stop in Omaha.

I don't know, after living 21 years in central Iowa the weather here is a breeze.

Been doing maintenance the last few days so far nothing major but only had one machine with no surprises. By the way custom cut battery cables are kind of pricey.

About an hour ago there was a thread in the "recent threads" about a female Nevada lawmaker but when I clicked on it, it was already deleted. Now I can't even find it on the site. Did anyone else see it? What caused the deletion?

I think it was meant to be in the cave. Something about how she needs to relax because someone was just joking but I don't know anything about the situation it was referencing. There wasn't a link or anything.

Edit: After some googling it looks like it was sarcastically referencing an exchange between her and a former VP. In the wise words of Forest Gump, "and that's all I got to say about that."

Ran. DND. However, I might need to slow down. Starting to wonder a little if I am running a little too hard for a guy turning 68 this year. Got a Garmin watch now that tracks heart rate. Average and max heart rate on some runs are a little high from what most charts would say for dude my age. Thinking maybe I should go have a treadmill stress test again to determine my actual max heart rate rather than going from charts. I know I am in better cardio shape than most guys my age but it would suck if I killed myself pushing to hard. Maybe it's just fine or maybe not.

Saw this in Googling around tonight and man did it sound like me: "Stop Comparing Yourself to Your Younger Self. It’s inevitable. At some point, you’ll realize you can’t run a sub-20 minute 5K anymore. In fact, it may be a struggle to run a sub-30." Damn, me, even down to the times. o_O

Just got an assessment for one of the building sites at the farm. Nothing new over 15 years, a 32% assessment bump. Knew the county was strapped but holy mother of Mary. That is going to hurt.
