Robinhood Investment?

I've used it for a few months. It's super interesting to do research on different companies. I have hit on a few stocks. Lost on one. Super easy to use and no fees.

Join Robinhood and we'll both get a stock like Apple, Ford, or Sprint for free. Make sure you use my link. https://share.robinhood.com/joshuak2306

It's a decent entry point. I used it for about 6 months before moving on to a broker and charting software.

FYI - Robinhood makes money by selling your trading information to institutional and high-frequency trading firms. Those firms then profit by using that information against you. It's a good app, but they are taking advantage of you - no commissions sure is nice, though! :)

Robinhood is good for beginners and really anyone that doesn't want to do in depth research. ETRADE and others offer more. If you don't know what to invest in, just type in "SPY" and put your money in that.

I just signed up and got a $20 stock. Have to wait 3 days to trade it so I can buy others. Might just keep it for awhile to see how it goes. Nice app for sure!

Unless your trading in size this shouldn't matter to you personally at all.

I still haven’t gotten anything. When I try checking which stock I got it still says 1 free stock pending application approval. Everyone else seems to know right away I’m coming up on 24 hrs

Didn’t they get in some hot water for something not that long ago? I could be wrong, or maybe they did and it was nothing significant at all, just thought I remembered hearing something about it.

This doesn't seem possible. Did you get a fraction of a share? One share sort of makes sense but I don't see how a broker would be selling partial shares.

Had a buddy who traded more often so I thought he might be a better option to sign up under.
