Prohm to Alabama?

This is what I think of this thread so far:

That’s kind of been my whole point the whole last month when he was dragging us back to the dark days of Iowa State basketball

So a rough patch over the past month negates everything else he's done? Seriously... the players are as much to blame about that last month as the coach was with how poorly we played. The players egos and selfish play and lack of effort on both ends of the court had as much to do with that stretch than anything. After they finally aired things out in a players only meeting we got the team back we thought they could be when they played in KC. The ball moved more, less hero ball and more effort put in on defense makes all the difference with this team. It's too bad they didn't figure it out sooner because they could have been playing in Des Moines today.

If Alabama does fire Johnson and that’s a big IF, who could they turn to? The logical choice could be Iowa State head coach Steve Prohm, who is an Alabama grad.

Prohm’s team just took down Kansas in the Big 12 Tournament and may face Auburn in the Midwest Region if both teams win their opening-round game in the NCAA Tournament. A few Tide fans are already predicting this will take place soon.

Y'all are talking about Hoiberg while this is being discussed.

Except for climate and basketball fandom and coaches.
You’re almost there.
There are factors in Michigan that made them successful despite a lack of support at times. Many of those factors have been absent in Tuscaloosa.

But again, the topics of sleeping giant is silly in basketball for P5s. Nearly every school can become very successful in basketball with the right coach, and have the money to do so

Except Nebraska... and Rutgers. Wait, is Rutgers really a P5 school?

I’m a prohm defender.

They passed on him when hiring Avery, so that might not sit well with him. I'm guessing Pollard will give him a nice raise when the season is over.
