People losing their minds.

This team was picked to finish 6th in the Big 12. Everyone out there acts like this team was destined for Minneapolis.

We had a few solid wins there and everyone's expectations SKYROCKETED to the moon. The talent is there, yes.

We were a projected bubble team going into this year. In fact, most of you probably said we'd be a bubble team or not even make the tournament. We'll that was proved wrong. We're beyond a bubble team and much better than most of you probably said we'd be coming into the season.

It's unreal how quick a fan base, who by the way, is known for being so "loyal" to turn so quickly on a team that didn't have championship expectations going into the season.

All of you earn 5 upside down poop emojis.

Well said/pooped.

- I think Prohm has done an excellent job in his time here, realizing that a crappy season like last season was likely to happen
- This year has shocked me with the rapid rise for the first half and the precipitous decline here in the last month
- This team is sorely lacking in leaders and grit, with a few too many focused on hero ball and whatever NBA future they may have; it's really tough to watch a team that doesn't give effort
- Prohm is the coach, so it's ultimately on him to figure this out and fix it for the future; I expect that this year is too far gone; I bet he's giving serious thought to how he's run this team and probably let some players get by with actions that he thought they'd grow out of... I appreciate his desire to try to grow them as men, but it didn't work this year; if he has more seasons like this where the team completely falls apart, he'll be moving on himself; too soon to make that call now
- Hope he rights the ship for the future, but time will tell

Spot on regarding item #2. You wanna show that you care? Find a better way than further embarrassing this team and this fanbase on national TV. You wanna show how tough you are? BOX OUT AND GRAB A ******* REBOUND!

I’m not buying this. Just because you are a vocal leader does not mean that you are not allowed to make mistakes. Jacobsen was fired up because THT was walking around when there should’ve been a sense of urgency.

We could pick apart every player’s game on this team. We want the team to show fire and finally somebody does, and now all we do is complain about it.

You cant be serious with this? Its not about what our seed will be and its surely not about being happy we will probably be in the tournament. Its the fact that all the big wins they did get and all the hard work put in is now being destroyed. Its a huge difference between "just not being that good" and "Having a ton of talent/potential and just pissing it away". There are bad attitudes on this team and that has snowballed, our coach hasn't done enough to fix it. I have zero faith we win another game this year .....that's the difference.

It's about wins a losses isn't it?

Those big wins made people like you have expectations beyond your wildest dreams. Yeah you're right.. Prohm probably just sits there and lets these 18/19 year old throw tantrums and have bad attitudes. From day 1 we know Prohm would rather work on developing these kids than work on winning basketball games. Saying "our coach hasn't done enough to fix it" is just stupid.

Start blaming the kids not the coach.

I pretty much agree with all of that incredibly long post.

No one here knows enough to come at individual players for attitude, behavior, being a team player etc. Welcome to criticize on court play.

Hopefully the dire predictions of defections don’t come to pass. If they do, the 2019 class better be much closer to (fans) high expectations than their national rankings.

What are these dire predictions of defections?

Three seniors are gone regardless. Lindell will go, as will THT, try their hand at professional basketball. Lard will most likely be gone as well.

I can see Terrence Lewis going also, to get somewhere he can play.

It's official. Steve Prohm is just the basketball version of Paul Rhoads. Win with the prior coaches players and never show the ability to develop talent. Who on this team is better then they were on December 1st??

This late season collapse is just like Paul loosing games in the 4th quarter with multiple touchdown leads. Leaders embrace adversity and thrive when their backs are against the wall. Never has a CSP team (2016-17 was Fred's team) shown that grit.

Prohm has lost the team, but I wouldn’t read too much into postgame comments after that performance. Few coaches articulate exactly what they mean in those moments, and saying your example isn’t any better leadership.

yeah, re-read it...I didn't say it was. I said I'd have more respect for him had he said that, not that he'd be considered a better leader.

CF started with a fire Wayne Morgan campaign.

If you think we are in the same universe as back then, that’s your first issue. There was also a whole lot that went into that which hasn’t ever seen the light of day because it was dealt with by firing him. If you rest comfortably at night knowing Prohm is doing things the right way and you won’t wake up to sanctions scandals, you would have cried yourself to sleep back in the day.

The fire Prohm talk is not warranted outside of over reacting fans. So if you're one of those go ahead and waste your time talking about it. Prohm's seat doesn't even get hot until after next season if next season goes really bad. So if you want to continually whine about something that's not even remotely possible for a couple seasons go at it.

Oh I completely agree he isn't getting fired anytime soon.

My concern isn't with the results - how do you get the locker room/culture back at this point? He has obviously lost it, what does he do to command the team's respect next year and command that the team get back on the same page?

This isn’t the era of Johnny or Tim or Larry who go off on interviews with Pete.

The guy isn’t wired this way. In that athletic article on him that was posted. Maryal talked about how prohm works, everything is calm measured and teaching.

The problem is not the results, it is the lack of leadership and direction. Allowing a tournament team to fall apart like this is not acceptable.
