@Cybirdy happy super belated birthday! Did I read correctly that you're going to do a half marathon this year? That is pretty cool!

Thanks! And yes. This is what happens when you make new friends. :eek:Come to find out that the one who talked me and another co-worker into this has run a marathon before. I have never run further than 3mi, and that was years ago. Up to 6miles now.

That is a sneaky friend indeed! Are you doing indoor runs right now? My max a couple years ago was six miles.......slow! I remember realizing when I got done that I'd just voluntarily run for over an hour and I was like who is this person. Going from 0-6 is a lot, that's awesome!

I'm hoping to do a 5 mile end of next month but I don't know when I'll ever be able to get back outside to try and train. How much time until your race?

So my sister-in-law has a sick youngest kid (temp over 100 this AM and threw up), and she asked us to watch that one while her and her husband both go to a parent-teacher-conference tomorrow!!!

We said no, she came back and said "what if she's fever free the rest of tonight?"

- Urgh. So, we're supposed to expose our family to the flu so you can go to a 15 minute meeting?

Teachers are willing to meet at different times if you are willing to be a little flexible. The P/T conferences don’t have to occur right then.

Once you get past 10 you mostly stop hurting and just kind of plateau to numb. Kind of like drinking.

Forgot to share - we had some company this weekend, three mornings in a row...

This stinks. That convo we had around lunch and empty nesters..........chatted with a good friend that I hadn’t talked to since Christmas timeframe. Apparently that is why I hadn’t seen him much, he isn’t around anymore.

That's too bad. Despite the fact that in my case it was my idea, I still don't wish that on anyone else.

Drove 4 hours to Morgantown to watch that......whatever that was. Left to go Home. Gassed up, immediately hit a pot hole and it put a hole in my tire. Got some of that seal stuff you spray in the tire and it only made it about 10 miles. Had to pull over and put on the donut on the side of the road at 10:30 in 12 degree weather in ******* West Virginia and then drive 200 miles home on the donut.

Not happy right now.

Will say I'm a little impressed. Those things aren't supposed to go over 50 miles. Those donuts are bad all the way around. They are not intended to be on the front of a car if front wheel drive, or they can throw the alignment off of them. You also aren't supposed to go over 35 mph with them or so, more of an emergency type thing. They don't save much room either.

Good to hear you made it home.

Two things

1) I honestly barely know any of the bands in the concert thread.

2) Why do these nutjobs argue politics in responses to articles that have nothing to do with politics. Read an article about a Lakers game, get an Obama trump comparison. Read something about a concert being delayed. First response is about not enough healthcare. I know it's my fault for looking at them, but some people need to give it a rest.
