Don’t worry guys...

Yeah, i am sure the anti prohmers are reveling in us losing.

This was the first post I opened, so I will start with saying what a disappointment today was. The first half was ridiculous. Prohm waited at least a possession too long to take the timeout when tcu got some seperation in the first half. He was as mad as I have ever seen him on the sidelines when we were playing so badly.

Shayok had a bad day, got stuck with fouls right away, but looks like he has hit a wall. He never had to be the guy at uva and it looks like he’s worn down. Nick is still in a funk, and I don’t know what he needs. Out of gas it seems.

The offense needed to run through Jacobson way earlier. The shot selection from Lindell is brutal at times, talen is as guilty.

Need to see more Talley.

Lard is so ridiculously athletic, but terrible at making simple plays. Puts his head down way too much. We don’t need to see George any more, he’s so raw. Future is bright for him, but not yet.

I was mad as I have been watching this one. Problem is we don’t have plan b. Prohm has gotten some players, but we have to learn to be more physical. The refs weren’t going to call holds and physical play today. We pussed away in the first half.

The adjustments weren’t bad after half. Got going to the rim, played through Mike. Just watched too much in the second half. He was yelling at the assistants and the bench in the first half. Got on Talen for not getting the ball late in the first half. The kids responded. But this team will go as far as their shooting, not a recipe for a long tournament stay.

But, I do think playing teams outside the league will help them a lot. League coaches figure out everyone else. Coaches that don’t play against us won’t have the luxury of time and repetition.

I won’t be one of the ones giving up. Hopefully, the rest who have can let the rest of us enjoy the season.

I honestly thought they played okay today. Way too many second chance points but that appears to be who we are at this point. They responded on the road and took the lead in the 2H. Just couldn’t make a shot from beyond 3 pt range. Some of it is shot selection but they also got plenty of clean looks.
Hopefully they can respond at home on Monday and get a W against an Oklahoma team that has won a few in a row.

The second half was solid.

The first half had a ridiculous 4 minute stretch that we just took. They bullied us.

We punched back a bit in the second. Sometimes teams have to hit their bottom before they can bounce back. I’ve seen it before. Hopefully, Baylor, and the first half was that bottom.

But there are some guys that need to see the ball go in real bad on this team right now.

The team has hit a wall or is out of gas, or whatever analogy you want to us. The players are talented, but they are also young and have not played together a lot. Shayok is a senior, but he never got the minutes that he has played for isu. Neither has Jacobson.

That’s a great point. I alluded to it in another of my long rambling posts.

Let's hope they can pull it together before the tourney. The way they have looked recently, they would just be wasting a spot and making a first round exit anyway.

They seem to have lost their way.

Lack of leadership, both on floor and from the bench.

When things go sideways (shots not falling, can't get a rebound, lost on defense) there is no one around to settle things down and take charge. There's no Monte, no Naz, no Georges. So things go sideways and stay there.

Wasting a spot? What the literal ****?

It’s almost like this is a team full of players that are either new, or have never filled the roles assigned to them before.

This, but yet I keep seeing posters on social media calling out for more minutes. Did they not see how badly he was pushed around and taken to the hoop? He had zero effectiveness.

I couldn't believe how often guys just stood there and watched the ball bounce or hit the floor while TCU would just scramble after it. Fact that this team doesn't hustle after loose balls and dive says all I need to know about their inner intensity and selflessness. They don't give it their all, they don't do the little things that lead me to believe this team's ceiling is a S16 and that's it. Maybe I'll be surprised, but they've got a lot of self-reflection to do in the next couple of weeks if they want to go anywhere in the tourney. I keep seeing twitter posts about how keep doubting them and they'll rise above...well so far talk is cheap. Someone needs to step up on this team, Jacobson was the life line Saturday, but he could only do so much.
