I hope so.. that means ISU won a tournament game.
They won't fall that far. Even if they did, still a million times better than last year.
Wait - so we WILL be in the tourney? Man - that's a huge disconnect from all the posts about how bad everything about this team is. Are you sure you're talking about Iowa State sucking because it seems making the tourney only happens with not insignificant success through the long season...
Making the tourney on a regular basis is just settling for mediocrity around here now .
At least the team has become consistent. They now consistently shoot poorly, can't rebound or defend against dribble penetration. The team now has its identity.
Yeah, i am sure the anti prohmers are reveling in us losing.
This was the first post I opened, so I will start with saying what a disappointment today was. The first half was ridiculous. Prohm waited at least a possession too long to take the timeout when tcu got some seperation in the first half. He was as mad as I have ever seen him on the sidelines when we were playing so badly.
Shayok had a bad day, got stuck with fouls right away, but looks like he has hit a wall. He never had to be the guy at uva and it looks like he’s worn down. Nick is still in a funk, and I don’t know what he needs. Out of gas it seems.
The offense needed to run through Jacobson way earlier. The shot selection from Lindell is brutal at times, talen is as guilty.
Need to see more Talley.
Lard is so ridiculously athletic, but terrible at making simple plays. Puts his head down way too much. We don’t need to see George any more, he’s so raw. Future is bright for him, but not yet.
I was mad as I have been watching this one. Problem is we don’t have plan b. Prohm has gotten some players, but we have to learn to be more physical. The refs weren’t going to call holds and physical play today. We pussed away in the first half.
The adjustments weren’t bad after half. Got going to the rim, played through Mike. Just watched too much in the second half. He was yelling at the assistants and the bench in the first half. Got on Talen for not getting the ball late in the first half. The kids responded. But this team will go as far as their shooting, not a recipe for a long tournament stay.
But, I do think playing teams outside the league will help them a lot. League coaches figure out everyone else. Coaches that don’t play against us won’t have the luxury of time and repetition.
I won’t be one of the ones giving up. Hopefully, the rest who have can let the rest of us enjoy the season.
Trying to remember the last time Shayok had a good game. I remember against Texas he missed three layups in a row, but he did hit a couple of big shots at the end. Everyone on the team has regressed.

It's simple, if the team brings the focus and intensity they did the second half for the whole game they win.
This team is way way way beyond needing a “wake up call”. We’ve lost 3 times at home and have been swept by 2 bottom half B12 teams. If a wake up call would’ve worked it would’ve happened by now.
They were bad at the start. Talley came in and picked them up. Then it went south for the last 12 minutes or so.
This team needs a leader, a vocal one. Nick needs to be the leader. Maryal needs to be the leader. Problem is they are quiet guys.
He needs to get back in the grind. The whining after every missed shot is hard to watch. Figure out another way to help the team. Same with LW after every foul call. Play some ******* defense.
When you get fouled and no call is made everytime you go to the rim is beyond rediculous and it gets frustrating.
It was brutal. I was fifth row, and we got beat up. The refs leg it go. Kids, and coaches lost some poise.
Much better in the second half.
