Hilton renovations going before the BoR next week

Seems like a fairly minor construction effort too, at least in comparison with some of the other parts of the project.

Put doors on the outer concourse side. Open the walls on the inner concourse side. And extend the side walls through the inner concourse. No loss of egress. Only limiting traffic around the inner concourse (which is a convenience, but not essential). They've already done this with the outer concourse for Johnny's (and that is probably a more significant egress issue).

This would work best on the side without the TV and production box, but even on that side, it could be down toward the corners.

I have to think they are going to do something like this. What else could they do for premium seating?
Exactly the way I've pictured it. Even bumping it out doesnt get in the way of the sight line of the first row of the upper level.

Ive thought for a while the concessions area could make great boxes if bumped into the inner concourse. The people who like to head down at the under 4 timeout and stand there would have to actually stay in their seats.
But what will the old people who do laps around it before games do for exercise?

I see you’re old and like to raise a decade...

Remember the previous one was absolutely turrible. Didn’t even show the score.

Those old ones...

...at least have some nostalgic appeal to them.

Who does not love numbers spelled out by gold or red lights?

I'll match your decade and raise you another decade. That get's us back to mid 80's. Beyond that and I will have to fold.

I remember going to other schools who had the fouls and player addition on this scoreboard and being jealous of them because all we had was the clock and the home/guests scores part of it.

My high school (70's) had a scoreboard on the wall (like the one shown earlier), but with sides that came down (using ropes and pulleys) so they could use single letter pieces to spell out players names for both teams. We were big time!

I still saw this in the early 2000s and loved it. Janitor came out after the girls game and switched it to the boys.

Also, rip out all of the seats and put in benches so we can squeeze 18k in there.
Rename it Hilton Field House and we'll win every game for the next 10 years.
