To me it's a chicken-or-the-egg type thing. The guys absolutely could have stood to have shown more effort on the boards. But when that isn't getting done, it falls on the guy making a million dollars a year to do something to fix it. Adjust the lineup. Chew some ass. Something.

I’m sure some ass was chewed. You weren’t in the huddle, were you? We’re you in the locker room?

The two guys they had on the radio were PISSED last night. Very different from the other losses (obviously they weren’t happy before, but last night was different). Prohm was pissed last night. I expect some things were said. But some people just assume that you have to witness it.

Agreed... I understand letting your team play into and out of struggles. That said we've seen this movie before. Prohm knows his team and said he didn't have a good feel for this one at the first media timeout. That's a concern.

Lon was a good coach, but even Lon ages, and that’s ignoring that his model has always been to leave before the fall.

Young wasn’t the best player in the country last year.

Most people thought he was for most of the year.

So prohm is worse than lon who isn’t that good anyway?

You’re as bad as jerse.

I did not observe any ass chewing, nor did I see the hallmarks of an asschewing. I also didn't see any of the main culprits of failing to rebound spending much time on the bench.

Who would you have benched?

This team does have the talent to win the Big 12, yes. Basically, just don’t choke away 3(!!!) home conference games.
Did they really choke away those games, or are they just not talented enough to win on those nights when everyone's A game is not there?
They didn't choke away this game, or the TCU loss. They were beat. Kst I'll give you, that one they should have won.

There's a reason why KU always wins, and it's not just because of their wins at home. It takes talent, and depth of talent, and they've led in that category for many years.

Jerse is bad, but your years long breakdown is worse. I truly hope you recover someday and pray Prohm never leaves you.

Prohm’s resume is worse than Lon’s, who was an all-time great at peaking in 3-5 years but has also never managed a program past that. Lon is also getting old and likely accelerating away from his prime.

You could have started with you’re not a basketball expert.

It’s amazing to me the select group of “fans” on here are losing their minds about a 19-7 team playing for a 4 seed. It shows it’s not just about basketball and even X’s and O’s, because these same folks are nowhere to be found when we win big games.

As far as leader, Lindell is the alpha. Biggest game and biggest attitude. I think he has regained most of his explosiveness, but that foot is affecting his lateral movement still.

Nick and Marial are the leaders. They aren’t vocal, but they are the leaders.

you just gotta get a dig in on everyone, don't you Cat?

People can be fans and be critical...they can be disappointed...they can complain and ***** and moan. And those same fans may just be at the ******* games when they win, you arrogant ass. Your self appointed expertise on basketball doesn't seem to be quite enough to land you on a bench so your opinions are no better or worse than any others. Your just a dude posting on the interweb...

Lindell is a poor leader if that's what he is. Leaders make others better. I've yet to see him do that. He's a great talent...but a leader he is not.

This is what I don’t get. If you’re fatalistic about this season, and declaring it over already, and we have 6 guaranteed games left, without the NCAA tournament, why put yourself through the misery?

My lady loves chip and Joanna, can’t stand them. They run marathons on hgtv on Saturdays We are busy all the time, and sometimes want to decompress. I have to watch it to spend time, and keep the piece. But you know what? when it gets unbearable, I go do something else.

Offering advice for you.

I would have tried a variety of things. Haliburton had 1 rebound in 35 minutes. He has to do better than that. Same for Jacobson with only 2. So I would have probably tried Conditt for Jacobson at some point, or maybe just gone two bigs to get Jacobson off their center, and probably given Hali less time and given those minutes to Talley or THT. THT is hands down our best in-traffic rebounder and he only had 23 minutes. So I would have probably tried Conditt some, given THT and Talley (who is a good rebounder for a guard) some of Hali minutes.

If you’re going to throw a fit, at least understand words.

We have Final Four talent but some nights we give NIT effort. When the tournament starts, we should be focused and able to make a deep run, but I hope we aren't playing our way into a very difficult draw with performances like last night.
Not near enough consistent talent for final four. Can they play like it for short stretches, and sometimes for a whole game? Yes, but not enough for a conference championship or final four.

I’ve seen that a lot and I hate seeing it. Was there last night though and thought the crowd was great given the weather.
General question, have they changed the TV production to mute the crowd noise. My wife and I were watching the game on TV and she commented to me, "I thought you said the crowd was loud at Hilton". I had to admit that at least through the TV broadcast, there was little to no crowd noise. I assumed they were filtering it out somehow, but cannot say for certain.

Is Conditt dead? Why does he see zero minutes? he was our best player on the court in the K state home loss. Jacobson had 2 rebounds all game, Lard had 4. It seems like a no brainer to give him at least 5-10 minutes a game. Truly maddening.

Because he would have ended up sticking out of a tuba after getting knocked into the pep band

They definitely have. It makes a difference being able to hear the announcers.

I said that this team won't go far in the NCAA's. That's literally all I said. Take it easy, Dr. Phil.
