SEC with 8 teams...
PAC 12 with 2 teams...one a play in game team...

Wow. After seeing Ole Miss, not sure about the overall quality of the league.

February is moving month though and expect a bunch of changes as the grind helps/hurts teams on the list.

Don’t care about Midwest region as much, but do really want Des Moines. I’d take a harder first two rounds for Des Moines.

Yeah, I would not be scared of anyone in DSM outside of Duke, TN and a few other top teams. And, it's not like ISU would be playing any of those teams in the 2nd round anyway. IMO ISU would handle pretty much any team in DSM that's not a top 2 seed.

I do agree with Thompsonclone that I'd rather not be in the same pod as hawkeye fans. Assuming they make it, they can go to their own site.

You have to take into account that with Pearl at Auburn and Cal and UK, those appearances officially won't have happened at some point in the next 5 years

the jury is still out on TN as far as I'm concerned as they have had a weak schedule so far. They have yet to play Kentucky, LSU, or Ole Miss yet.

So are we going to be heavily relying on the NET rankings or not? If we go off of NET we should be a fairly comfortable 4 seed right now.

I think its attainable also. Only thing is so far ISU has not got much love. Look at the AP and other rankings they have beat many great teams and have not moved up much in those. Unfortunately the seedings are still done by human Bias

The AP and coaches poll mean jack **** when it comes to selection Sunday. Iowa State is #14 in the poll that matters most and we don't even know how that will even be used. Iowa State is sitting in a great spot right now.

Look at the SEC right now. It is not that good. Tennessee, LSU and Kentucky are legit that is it. Tennessee is for real this year. They are a national title contender.

Really, if you look at the projections for BPI which is a good measuring stick for teams too ISU is not projected to be sitting good. See Below

I like seeing the every few days updates from Lunardi - no sense getting worked up over something that will change 27 times in the next month.

but a 5/12 with a tough team like lipscomb and then to face houston? that'd be the worse draw all time, two really good teams.

I'd rather play someplace else than des moines, but stay in the midwest and get kc.

Nope. As I said in another thread yesterday, I want ISU continuing to play at a #3 seed level through the end of the year, but getting a #4 seed in the Midwest and Des Moines.

I demand Michigan State be given the #1 seed in the Midwest and see how Sparty likes to come to Hilton South in KC to battle ISU for the Elite Eight. I want this so bad I can taste it.

Huh? These projections show us at 23 wins and 12-6 in the Big 12 lol, that's pretty darn good. You sorted by W/L record which doesn't mean anything.

I did not sort by anything. Not sure if you have espn access to view it but go to the link and click projections or have someone that does have access do it for you. trust me its not sorted. that is straight from projections.

Getting Sparty in KC is my dream scenario especially when you factor a realistic possibility of KU falling out of the MW region. That will put a lot of tickets on the streets and I think we know how that will go.

Why are you having it be based off of projected overall record? Of course there are going to be a lot of mid majors that end up with a better overall record that ISU. Doesn't mean they will be getting a better seed or even make the tourney.
