Official KU postgame thread

Not as dumb as this one:

Of course there was someone, can’t remember who, saying that they expected to win in Lawrence.

They’ve lost their 14 times in entire time self ya been there. 27-0 on big Monday, 89-11 coming off a loss.

But yeah, a fan should expect a win there.

We should definitely be 8-9 deep. No reason not to do that.

Had he not been sick, I am sure Conditt would have gotten some run. If Solo were healthy, he’d be in the rotation.

They ran a play out of a timeout for Lewis Saturday, and he got his 3 blocked. Too bad, I like his offensive game. He just can’t get on the floor because he can’t guard at this level yet.

Not sure what’s going on with Talley. I think it’s defense, and there are better players in front of him in the rotation.

Griffin will be fine too. Has to work to develop.

Or they could be a cuck like you and throw shade at his own fan base.

You learned a new word. How cute.

Not the fan base. The emo agenda people are the ones that lose their **** for losing at ******* Kansas deserve all the laughs at their expense.

If that bit hurts, well, gain some perspective.

You're so cute when you project yourself on to others.

Remember when tuco told us all off season this is the deepest and most talented Bill Self team ever?

Has Self ever had a real historically crazy roster?

The craziest roster I can remember from them was maybe the Lafrentz/Vaugn/Haase etc. team in 96-97. When they lost it was the shocker of the tourney.

I wondered if players were worried about risking a blocking foul in the lane or something. There was some tight one-on-one defense on drives, but KU still glided mostly untouched for lay-ins. Looked like ISU could have impeded some of the drive-momentum better.

In Ames we stopped that dribble drive over and over, made them take a contested jumper which they missed most often. I assumed Prohm had figured out a solution. Guess not.

Haven't read the thread but I thought we played pretty well at Lawrence. But there are 2 big things holding this team back from being consistent and a chance to win a Big 12 title:
  1. On defense we can not stop the dribble drive. For a team that plays 4 guards that is beyond logic. We should be quicker than most opponents. What was the 2nd half stat- paint points KU 24 vs. ISU 6
  2. On offense the converse is true. When the other team gets on an roll offensively- we panic and just shoot 3's. If you go a couple possessions without a basket- slow things down and drive to the bucket. We take way too many tough 3's. Guys make a few and then think its a good shot.

Sorry Cat, I think I liked a post that stated this, but I thought it meant the team. I believe they expected to win. I, like most of us, thought they had a chance. They did.

So does Kansas and almost every team in the conference. Not that it should result in not being better at stopping the dribble drive. Gotta get better at that.

It's weird both Nebraska and Iowa State would list him at 6'9" if he is really 2" shorter.
Some
Injury that kept him out for a while, combined with a big influx of talent. He's searching for his role, while trying to get in the groove. Honestly, I'm not all that concerned about it. He is a talented kid. I'd be surprised if we're still talking about this 5 games from now.
After subtracting 5 games, I am trying to think how many will be left?
