All expected on observations, but it is helpful to have data confirm what my hypotheses. While not every shot, it does seem like NWB is often on the raw end of having to take a long 2 late in the shot clock as the primary ball handler. Frequently, it seems the defender is closing out on the 3 pt attempt and there is likely a help defender waiting for the expected drive. In these case the long 2 might be NWB's cleanest look since it is the "soft" spot of most defenses today. Still not a preferable shot, but context is important when analyzing these "situational long 2s".
