Making a sequel will have no impact on how good the first one was. 'Caddyshack' isn't any worse because of 'Caddyshack 2' which was horrible.

This is a colossal mistake. There is a 0.00% chance this will live to the hype. I will go out of my way NOT to watch this mistake in the works when it comes out.
I'm assuming Arsenio Hall is on board as well? Can't imagine there is much on his schedule.
This will be terrible. Much like long awaited sequels have been. I watched about 10 minutes of Super Troopers 2, on bootleg, and had to stop as it was so terrible.

Dumb and Dumber To, The Phantom Menace, Godfather III and Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls were perfect movies!
It does work sometimes. Incredibles 2 and Bladerunner 2049 were nearly flawless sequels last year in terms of picking up with the same quality and feel of the original. Probably easier with a mostly new cast or an animated movie though.
I hope your kidding. Kingdom of the Crystal skulls might be the biggest let down of a movie I have ever been to.
What hype? Everybody will assume it’s a crap money grab... which it probably is.
